We photo and video tv commercials, events for universities across CT, produce content for museums, theaters and photograph ALL THE BIG PARTIES in CT. This job is anything but boring.

Defining Studios is searching for the right Photographer and Editor to help their growing company. This is a first-shift, full- time position 32-40 or more hours per week, located in their Plainville, CT office. This job provides lots of FLEXIBLE hours during the shooting season as your position would be scheduled around scheduled events. This job will require nights and weekend event coverage.

Work from home opportunities are possible throughout the year.

This position requires strong visual storytelling skills and consistent editing style. The ability to work well with a team, as well as a creative and innovative attitude is imperative. Video editing and production is not required, but will greatly strengthen your application.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Shooting photography at every type of event for our educational, arts and commercial clients (No weddings, family or lifestyle photography)
- Editing photo is both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (Some training will be given, but must be very comfortable with both)
- Keeping a log of all projects and handling multiple deadlines at a time while keeping clients up to date with progress
- Occasional client sales meetings both in our studio or on-location
- This position includes very strong communications skills and a very organized workflow.

Experience
- Must have EITHER an education OR career in media production.
- We do mostly events and promotions in the non-profit, arts, community engagement, and education sectors; experience here would be a perk.
- Experience in all software listed above is a must. To do this job you must be trained in all the above software and be able to work independently.
- In this position you will be dealing with a large volume of clientele, so your ability to up-sell and encourage additional work and/or bookings would bring value to your position and help the company grow.

Software Skills
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Macintosh iCal, Google Suite
- Must be completely comfortable using Macintosh Operating Systems AND PC Systems
- Must be very familiar with Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom
- Must have decent typing skills - no single finger typing will allow you to keep up.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
