Today I was informed of the passing of a truly influential individule in my life. Bobby Gatzen. Bob was a genius, an inventor, an amazing electronic musician, and sound designer (before there was such a thing). I was so fortunate to spend as much time as I did with him, recording, mixing, collaborating, and most of all learning. Bob was "passionately curious" always striving to make "it" better. From sound sculptures, drum heads, drum frames, kick pedals, electronic drum trigger pads....innovation after innovation. I am grateful to have had experienced this true genius in my life. RIP.
