Henry is another one (of the many!) awesome guys I've gotten to know over the past few years, thanks to Ollie. He's super sweet, always polite, and though he's generally one of the quieter boys we host, he's got a great sense of humor and busts it out when I least expect it! So happy he and his mom asked me to capture his senior photos. It was a blast working with them both! 💜

October is National Women’s Small Business Month! 🌟 We’re continuing our series by highlighting local entrepreneurs whose hard work and vision are making a positive impact throughout Waukesha County.

Meet Miranda Weston, Photographer and Owner of The Art of Life: Photography & Design. Specializing in senior photos and dance portraiture, Miranda also photographs families, provides headshots and branding sessions, and captures community events for local businesses and nonprofits—including the WGF! After nearly 20 years behind the camera, she’s made it her mission to help each person feel celebrated, confident, and beautiful.

When asked what she loves most about entrepreneurship, Miranda shared: “I love the freedom it allows me! Being able to focus on the things that inspire me ignites my creativity and makes me excited to wake up and get to work every single morning.”

Her favorite quote is: “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.” – Steve Jobs.

She also has a message for young women and girls aspiring to start their own business: “Always follow your heart. If you want something bad enough and are willing to work to achieve it, you will be unstoppable!”

Another special senior! I've been lucky to know Clive since he was just a little dude! Love that he brought his grandpa's truck along for photos. He and his dad lovingly restored this beauty together a few years back, so it holds a lot of sentimental memories for them both! Very cool to be able capture it in his senior photos!!

It may be raining today, but Saturday was an absolutely for my photoshoot on the farm with Riding with Angels 🐎 Shoutout to the incredible Wisconsin Dance Theatre Conservatory dancers who were so sweet & fearless when posing with the horses! 🩰Thank you to the volunteers at Riding with Angels for making sure the horses were happy and our dancers stayed safe! Can't wait for round 2 next weekend!
