As per the Clay County Auditor's Office, Ryan Nemmers won the open Everly City Council seat with 30 write-in votes. Gabby Fahnlander won the open District 2 CC/E school board seat with 12 write-in votes.

Winners of the Hartley City Council election yesterday were: Val Moermond, 193; Nick Steuben (write in), 174; and Darla Meyer (write in), 156. Rod Ahrenstorff was re-elected mayor and Drew Sweeney was elected to fill the council vacancy.

Today's pep rally will be held from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the high school, with the parade to follow at 2:15 p.m. in downtown Hartley.
