Kids being kids is my top favorite portrait work. As I have been working with kids for the last 10 years, I have noticed that they know important things about life that adults have forgotten. In the words of Mary Poppins “Don’t you know that everybody’s got a Fairyland of their own?”.

This was one of my favorite photoshoots. This little girl was so full of laughter and joy. I appreciated that her mom laid the groundwork by building up the anticipation for our photoshoot and telling her how fun it was going to be! She came in expecting to have lots of fun and we certainly did! I try to have a relaxed approach with kids during photoshoots. They should be allowed to be curious and playful and it’s wonderful when it comes across in the final photos.
