It’s amazing how God works. For the last 24 years I’ve been training and didn’t know it! For 24 years I have went through CPR and First Aid training. Let me tell you something, God, He orders the steps of the righteous! Down to what we had for dinner prior to this incident.
Things were going great kiddos had a great first day of school. Good quick and easy dinner.
I was checking on orders from the tshirt sale and sure enough I heard screaming. It was a different sound. One of fear and pain. I meet lil jay and Tay in my doorway to my room. I quickly realized lil jay was choking on something. It was taking his breath and they were both scared. I quickly leaned him over and started patting his back rather hard to see if it would come out this way. It didnt! He wanted water, in his mind it would wash it down but quickly realized he couldn’t do that and it hindered him further from breathing and it all came out his mouth. I bring lil jay to the bathroom and it was getting more intense for him he was calling my name and grabbing for me even though he was right next to me and I was holding on to him. I know it was getting critical. He was turning pale (never blue) and terror was on his face. I told him he was going to have to throw it up and I quickly started the Heimlich maneuver. The first time just some saliva the second a bit of food. The whole time I’m calm and coaching him to calm down and just throw it up. Telling him it was going to be ok mama is right here. Mamas got you son. The third pull and up it was. The candy was unloaded and lil jay went about limp in my arms. Not from passing out but from relief! He was crying and I picked him up held him tight. Telling him he was going to be ok. He told me mama I almost got taken out of here. I said but your ok some mamas got you! We walked back to the bedroom (Bryan was cleaning up the mess in the bathroom) and Tay never left, she was watching him struggle and I could tell it was hard on her. I didn’t address it then because I was just trying to keep them calm. His throat was hurting and there was blood in 4 different places in the throwing up. I seen it when it happened and noted it in my mind. I looked at my watch and asked him if he wanted to go get checked out at the urgent care just to be sure everything was ok. He said yeah (he never wants to go to the Dr).
Taylor didn’t hesitate and didn’t ask she grabbed her phone and out the door we went it was 7:45 and only had 15 minutes to get shoes on, down stairs, in the Jeep get parked, in building, so we can be seen.
As we are driving I had to turn the flashers on through town and even ran a red light. In the mean time my son says this Mama I was almost gone, outah here. I said buddy the enemy tried to come but God had you with the right person. I have 25 years experience in safety, first aid and CPR. I said baby Gods got a plan for you, He’s not done with you on this earth and He needs you to share His word with others. I could tell he was still weak, pale and just in disbelief. He was really thinking about His life being saved. He said again mama I was almost gone, outah here. I said yeah buddy but God has bigger plans and Jesus saved you! I was just the tool he used. It was not mama but Jesus through me. He sat back there still thinking. Taylor quite just soaking it all in, scared but relieved that at least it was out.
We get in urgent care and before we can fully get checked in they call us back and are absolutely GREAT! They have been the last two years!! So kind, so loving, such excellent bedside manner! I then had time to call his dad and he came in as the Doctor was checking lil jay out. Everything checked out which I knew it was this trip was for lil jays comfort. I knew God was going to heal him and bring him out of this. He was going to do it so good it will be as if it never happened! We leave but not until after a good ol game of keepsies upsies along with the Doc. We leave head home to get ready for bed.
After showers, prayer of thanksgiving and gratitude for God sparing my son, we laid in bed. He drifted off to sleep and there I was crying tears of joy, and thankfulness. Holy Spirit quickly reminded me of many things including having to do the same thing to Katlyn when she was about 10 months old. All the years of safety meetings. All the years most dread safety day but I actually love. He showed me how in that moment what I had been praying over myself came to pass! GOD alone! I had been praying scripture (1 Timothy 1:7) I don’t have a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I became living breathing scripture. Holy Spirit used me to save my son (and years ago my oldest daughter). Like literally and spiritually! I’m so thankful for this moment. I feel as though I’ve been through a fire but I’m purified!!!
Did the enemy come- yeah. He was styling to kill, steal and destroy.
Is my GOD bigger- Absolutely!!!
It has all worked out for our good and His glory.
One thing this has taught me, is the little stuff (bickering, fussing, frustration), is just that, little, distractions meant to derail us!!
Don’t allow the enemy to steal your breakthrough, your peace, or your life. Fight back! Ask God to order your steps because the Bible says he orders the steps of a good man (Psalm 37:23). Pray, seek His face because you shall find Him (Jeremiah 29:13, 1 Chronicles 28:9, 2 Chronicles 15:2)
This is a testimony of Gods goodness. Sometimes God’s goodness is answering the prayers of those sick batteling diseases and rescuing them from this world! Either way He is still God, He is still good and He loves us!!!
I hope this encourages you today to live free from envy, strife etc. It’s not worth your worry it’s not worth your time. Time is precious spend it wisely!!!
I love you guys have a blessed day! ❤️🥰❤️🩹🫶🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼✝️
