Why so many?: Second in our series as to why we like different guitars, and are drawn to owning a collection.

Let's look at a classic, the Stratocaster. Whether a Fender, or off-brand, most of us love and own a Strat. Could be nostalgia, their tonal versatility, design, to emulate our guitar heroes, or their general popularity. Regardless, the Strat is a staple to most guitar players/collectors.

Pictured is a 1980 Fender Stratocaster modded with a single-space hum bucker and a push/push switch to tap.

SO YOU'RE 12 AND THINK YOU DESERVE SPECIAL TREATMENT?: Actually yes. A 12-string guitar does have some special needs. For instance, a regular capo may not provide the pressure distribution needed to accurately depress the pairs of thick/thin strings, resulting in unusable sounds. G7th has come up with this capo that is articulated in such a way as to address this issue, providing clear vibration from each of the 12 strings.
