HUSKERS> The Nebraska football team will play at UCLA on Saturday. This will be the 15th overall meeting between the two teams with each team winning seven games. The Bruins won 27-20 last year in Lincoln. Kickoff will be at 8:00pm on Fox.

The Nebraska volleyball team beat Illinois 25-11, 25-15, 25-14 last night at the Devaney Center. It was the 14th consecutive sweep for the Huskers. Nebraska has now won 43 sets in a row. Andi Jackson led the way with nine kills. Nebraska is now 23-0 on the season, 13-0 in the conference. They'll play at Minnesota on Saturday at 2:30pm.

The Nebraska men's basketball team will host Florida International tomorrow at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Huskers are 1-0 on the season after Monday's 86-53 win over West Georgia. Tip-off will be at noon.

The women's basketball team will play Samford at 5:00pm. The Huskers opened the season on Monday with a 103-46 win over Northwestern State.

BRONCOS> The Hastings College football team has the weekend off. The Broncos will wrap-up their season next Saturday at Dakota Wesleyan.

The Hastings College women's soccer team will play Concordia tomorrow in the semi-finals of the conference tournament. Kickoff will be at 6:00pm in Seward.

The Hastings College men's basketball team will play in the Cattle Classic in Seward this weekend. The Broncos will play Clarke of Iowa tonight at 8:00pm and Oklahoma City tomorrow afternoon at 4:00pm.

Hastings College is adding three sports to its athletic offerings. The school will be adding men's and women's swimming and diving and women's flag football to sports offerings beginning with the 2026-27 academic year. Men's and women's swimming and diving will compete as a winter sport. The addition of the program is made possible through a community partnership with the YMCA of Hastings, which will serve as the teams practice and competition facility. The women's flag football team will take to the field in the spring. Earlier this year, Hastings College also announced the addition of men's volleyball, which begins the season on January 30th.

LOPERS> The Nebraska-Kearney football team has the weekend off. The Lopers will host Central Missouri next Saturday.
The volleyball team will host Washburn tonight at 6:00pm and Emporia State tomorrow afternoon at 3:00pm.

H.S. SPORTS> At the state high school volleyball tournament yesterday, Yutan, Freeman, Oakland-Craig and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won opening round games in Class C-2. The D-1 winners were Amherst, Exeter-Milligan-Friend, Overton and Shelton. In Class D-2, Wynot beat Red Cloud 25-23, 25-13, 25-19. The other winners were Dundy County Stratton, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller and Cambridge. Semifinals will be played today. The finals are set for Saturday.

The state high school football playoffs continue tonight. Sandy Creek will play Bridgeport in the quarterfinals of the Class D-1 playoffs. Kickoff will be at 5:00pm. We'll have the game on X-Stream Sports beginning with the pre-game show at 4:45pm. In some of the other games, Kearney will play at Omaha Westside, Aurora is at Columbus Lakeview, Archbishop Bergen is at Grand Island Central Catholic, Malcolm is at Kearney Catholic, Lawrence Nelson is at Howells-Dodge, Silver Lake is at Garden County and Red Cloud is at Wallace.

NFL> In the NFL last night, Denver got by the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7. The Broncos are now 8-2. The Raiders are 2-7.

HUSKERS> The Nebraska volleyball team will play Illinois tonight at the Devaney Center. The Huskers are 22-0 on the season, 12-0 in the conference. They've recorded 13 consecutive sweeps and have won 40 sets in a row. Illinois is 12-9, 7-5 in the conference. The Fighting Illini have dropped four matches in a row. First serve will be at 7:00pm on FS1.

BRONCOS> The Hastings College women's basketball team dropped their second straight game losing to Friends University 104-102 in double overtime last night in Wichita. The Broncos had a 15-point lead in the first half, one night after squandering a 17-point second half lead in a 94-91 loss to Sterling. Bailey Kissinger had 22 points for the Broncos, Mariyah Avila had 19, McKenna Yates had 17 and Josilyn Miller had 16. Hastings hit 47 percent from the floor, including 11 of 31 three-pointers. The Falcons connected on nearly 52 percent of their shots and 10 of 23 from behind the arc. Hastings is now 2-2 on the season and will be off until November 15th when they open conference play against Dakota Wesleyan at Lynn Farrell Arena.

Reagen Gallaway of Hastings College has been named the Women's Wrestler of the Week in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Gallaway went 3-1 at the Luther Hill Simpson Invite over the weekend and finished second.

H.S. SPORTS> Milford beat Adams Central in four games yesterday in the first round of the State Volleyball Tournament in Lincoln. The scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20. The Patriots end the season 24-10. Elsewhere in Class C-1, Holdrege upset top seeded Ogallala, Omaha Concordia beat Ashland Greenwood and Malcolm upset Lincoln Lutheran.

The Class A winners include Lincoln North Star, Omaha Westside, Millard South and Papillion LaVista South. The Class B winners were Norris, Waverly, Elkhorn North and Omaha Skutt.

First round games will be played today in Classes C2, D1 and D2.

NFL> Week number ten of the NFL season gets underway tonight as the Las Vegas Raiders play at Denver. Kickoff will be at 7:15pm on Prime.

The Arizona Cardinals have placed quarterback Kyler Murray on injured reserve with a foot injury. Murray will be eligible to return for the December 7th game against the Los Angeles Rams. Jacoby Brissett will continue to be the Cardinals' starter.

CFP POLL> Ohio State is the number one ranked team in the first College Football Playoff poll of the season. The Buckeyes are followed by Indiana, Texas A & M, Alabama and Georgia. Rounding out the top ten are Ole Miss, BYU, Texas Tech, Oregon and Notre Dame. The top ACC team is Virginia at number 14. Every team in the top 25 came from a Power 4 conference, so the playoff selection committee designated Memphis as the top team from the Group of 5. If the playoffs were held today, the first-round games would be Memphis at Georgia, Virginia at Ole Miss, Notre Dame at BYU and Oregon at Texas Tech. The top four teams would receive a first round bye.

HUSKERS> The Nebraska football team will play at UCLA on Saturday. The Huskers are 6-3 on the season after last week's 21-17 loss to USC. The Bruins are 3-5. They've won three of their past four games, with their only loss coming last week to second ranked Indiana. UCLA is led by interim head coach Tim Skipper, who has guided the team over the past five games. Kickoff will be at 8:00pm. You'll be able to see it on Fox.

BRONCOS> Midland came from two sets down to beat the Hastings College volleyball team last night in Fremont. The scores were 17-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-12, 15-7. Ilse Benne led the Broncos with 14 kills, while Makenna Sutter and Klarissa Dowdy had 10 kills apiece. Hastings ends the season 6-20, 3-13 in the conference.

The Hastings College women's soccer team scored two second half goals to beat Dakota Wesleyan 2-0 last night in the quarterfinals of the GPAC Tournament. Hastings will play at Concordia on Saturday in the semi-finals. The Bulldogs beat the College of St. Mary's 3-0 last night. In the other games, Mount Marty upset top seeded Morningside 3-2 on penalty kicks after the two teams fought to a 1-1 tie. Dordt beat Doane 2-0.

The men's semifinals will be played on Friday; Mount Marty will be at Morningside and Briar Cliff is at Concordia.

Sterling came from 17 points down in the second half to beat the Hastings College women's basketball team 94-91 last night in Sterling. Makenna Yates led the Broncos with 18 points and seven rebounds. Mariya Avila had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists. Hastings is now 2-1 and will play at Friends University tonight. Tip off will be at 5:00pm.

GPAC> Northwestern will be the number one seed for the GPAC Volleyball Tournament that gets underway on Saturday. The Red Raiders won the regular season title this fall with a 16-0 record. The first-round matchups will have Mount Marty playing at Northwestern, Dordt at Dakota Wesleyan, the College of St. Mary's at Midland and Morningside at Concordia.

H.S. SPORTS> The state high school volleyball tournament gets underway today with first round games in Classes A, B and C-1. Adams Central will play Milford at 1:00pm.
