CFP POLL> Ohio State is the number one ranked team in the first College Football Playoff poll of the season. The Buckeyes are followed by Indiana, Texas A & M, Alabama and Georgia. Rounding out the top ten are Ole Miss, BYU, Texas Tech, Oregon and Notre Dame. The top ACC team is Virginia at number 14. Every team in the top 25 came from a Power 4 conference, so the playoff selection committee designated Memphis as the top team from the Group of 5. If the playoffs were held today, the first-round games would be Memphis at Georgia, Virginia at Ole Miss, Notre Dame at BYU and Oregon at Texas Tech. The top four teams would receive a first round bye.
