USM alumnus Chris Evans told Silent Suffering that he was at his lowest point before turning to mental health care services. After receiving care for alcohol abuse and depression at Pine Grove, Evans says he is now fully recovered.

SCS on campus accepts walk ins Monday- Friday between 8am and 4pm in the case of a crisis.

Nursing student JonBene't Kepper talked to Silent Suffering about her experience with counseling and dispelling the stigma associated with receiving care for mental health.

"Even if I hit a moment where I'm in a low again, I know how to better help myself and I don't feel as negatively towards going to counseling and feeling bad about it," Kepper said.
