We are taking the week to have a few more discussions but as it stands, we do not intend to open back up. We really do wish it was as simple as getting more attention; however, several factors initiated our decision. We truly appreciate the overwhelming and unexpected response to the announcement of our closure. We will post any further updates or changes here. ♥️

We ♥️ Hattiesburg but ... this will most likely be our last weekend. We have given it our all and have come up short. We do not regret a thing. The lessons we have learned and the opportunities we have had have made it all worth it. We have appreciated the dedication and the love from every single person who's walked in the doors here. You have been an encouragement and a constant reminder of why we do what we do.

We are thankful for our amazing staff. We have stuck it out together through many slow and disappointing days. If you're in the area this weekend, come love on these beautiful people. Or if you're not able to this weekend, you will be able to find most of them at The Porter. Here are some words from the owner, Roy. See you soon. Cheers.

"Without hashing out all the details... I had a vision to expand our brewing outside the pub and into other restaurants and bars in Hattiesburg. The Pullman was designed to be a brewery and craft cocktail bar. We attempted to do just that. Unfortunately, it never really took off. We encountered many obstacles and challenges from the beginning that put too much of a financial strain on everything else.

I definitely do not blame anyone for our closure. Any "blame" rests solely on me and ultimately, this is my decision. I must choose what is best for me and my family. ...

I look forward to having more time and the ability to be more intentional ... at The Porter. As we continue to grow and expand our commitment to the community, let us know how we can help. Let us know what you would like to see. Let's work together to continue to make the Hub City one of the best places to live. Thank you Hattiesburg. We love you."
