I don't know what to post. Except to say - my beautiful mother is in the hospital this week and we are taking this 1 MOMENT at a time. She is precious to me in ways I cannot explain. So I am feeling raw & vulnerable. My WOW right now is family. 💖 Murphy AND our girls, Taylor and Phoebe, are doing things for me that touch my heart. As is our entire family! I just wanted to say hi. After a massive manhunt, Covington County authorities say brothers Cortavious Hobbs and Cortavion Hobbs are now in custody. Investigators say the pair were found hiding beneath a house near the area where they fled after Monday’s shooting of Sheriff’s Deputy Rodney Yates near Mount Olive. Yates remains hospitalized in stable but serious condition after surgery. The suspects are also brothers to a 17-year-old charged in the killings of an elderly Simpson County couple.

🚨🚨BLUE ALERT: 18-year-old Cortavious Lawayne Hobbs and 19-year-old Cortavion Dewayne Hobbs are wanted in connection to an officer-involved shooting that occurred June 8th, 2026 at approximately 3:38 p.m. in Mount Olive, Mississippi.

Both are believed to be armed and dangerous and could be in the area of the 200 block of South Bluff Street, Mount Olive, Covington County Mississippi.

Please call 911 immediately if you see either Hobbs or if you observe any suspicious activity.

Cortavious Lawayne Hobbs is described as a black male, wearing a black hoodie, 18 years old, 5 feet and 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Cortavion Dewayne Hobbs is described as a black male, wearing a camouflage hoodie, 19 years old, 5 feet and 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

The Civil Authorities have issued a Blue Alert for all of Mississippi beginning at 5:42 pm and ending at 6:42 pm. Cortavion Dewayne HOBBS is wanted in connection to an officer involved shooting in Mount Olive MS, Covington County that occurred on 6/8/2026 at approximately 3:38 p.m. Please call 9 1 1 immediately if you see Cortavion Dewayne HOBBS or observe any suspicious activity. Cortavion Dewayne HOBBS is described as a Black Male 19 years of age, 5 feet and 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He was last seen in the 200 block of South Bluff Street on 6/8/2026 at
approximately 3:38 p.m. and was wearing a camouflage jacket and black pants.
Cortavion Dewayne HOBBS may be ON FOOT. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this dangerous suspect, please call 9 1 1 or the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation at (8 5 5 ) 6 4 2 -5 3 7 8.
