Today, we celebrate the people who built our communities and continue to keep them moving every day.
Across Haverhill, Woodsville, North Haverhill, Pike, the Upper Valley and communities on both sides of the Connecticut River, generations of farmers, railroad and mill workers, tradespeople, educators, healthcare workers, small-business owners, first responders and countless others have helped shape the places we call home.
Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It's a reminder that our communities have always been built by people willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work. 💪🇺🇸
From yesterday's workers to today's, thank you for building, serving and strengthening our Twin State communities.

📚 Did You Know? Stephen King’s classic novel The Stand has a special connection to our area! 👀 In the novel, King makes a reference to Woodsville, New Hampshire, putting our little corner of Haverhill right into one of the most famous American stories of good versus evil. Pretty awesome to see Woodsville make an appearance in a worldwide bestseller. 💚📖
