Jagaban Calls for National Unity and Action Against Kush at Kingtom Football Tournament

K-T Field, Kingtom, Freetown , November 5, 2025

The leading flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, Sheikh Alhaji Mohammed “Omodu,” popularly known as Jagaban, has sponsored the Kingtom Football Association (KFA) Fourth Edition of the Inter-Area Trophy themed “Say No to Drugs”, held at the K-T Field in Kingtom.

The much-anticipated opening match featured the Kroo Bay Community and New England Ville Community, two local football giants. Jagaban and his colleague flagbearer aspirant, Mr. Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK), jointly performed the ceremonial kick-off amid cheers from jubilant supporters, a vibrant display of unity and shared commitment to the anti-drug campaign.

In his remarks, Jagaban expressed appreciation to the organizers and extended thanks to JFK and the Hon. Pastor Adama Conteh Sesay, APC Chairlady of the Western District, for their continued support. He called on Sierra Leoneans to actively participate in the upcoming National Population Census, describing it as a civic duty essential for national planning and development.

Jagaban further urged citizens to unite in the fight against kush and other harmful substances, reaffirming his dedication to youth empowerment and social progress.

Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Mr. Costello commended Jagaban’s unwavering commitment to tackling drug abuse, describing him as one of the few APC aspirants genuinely driven by community development and national transformation.

Today, I attended a strategic extended APC-NAC meeting at our party headquarters along Old Railway Line in Freetown.

I was warmly welcomed by my comrades and fellow flagbearer aspirants. During our discussions, I engaged with stakeholders and party members on strengthening unity, discipline, and progress within the APC.

After the meeting, I took a symbolic walk through Sander, Naimbana, Brooks, Siaka Stevens, Percival, and Lightfoot Boston Streets.

I was deeply moved as residents, youths, and women joined me, chanting songs of hope and expressing faith that together, we will rebuild the APC and reclaim State House in 2028.

Today, 26th October 2025, I paid a visit to the Sumaila Town community in Freetown in an event that attracted thousands of community members, APC party loyalists, friends, and supporters under the theme “With Jagaban, See Reality; With Jagaban, Everything is Sure.”

After listening to community concerns about poor roads, lack of a health center, and unsafe water, I reaffirmed my loyalty by donating 2,000 bags of cement, NLe 250m for community projects, solar street lights, NLe 300m to empower market women, and NLe 50m for the mosque.

It was truly a day of joy and renewed hope.

🕌 Jagaban Attends Jumm’ah at Ahmadiyya Mosque – Funkia, Goderich

Today, Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara (Jagaban) joined the Muslim community for Jumm’ah prayer at the Ahmadiyya Mosque in Funkia.

He was warmly received by Chief Imam Muvvi Suliaman Bangura and hundreds of worshippers, who praised his leadership and commitment to national unity.

Jagaban donated NLe 40,000 towards the mosque’s construction and six boats to support local fishing communities — a gesture that drew massive cheers from residents.

Jagaban Pays Final Respects to Late Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma

Bayande Village, Tonko Limba Chiefdom, Kambia District - October 19, 2025

Sheikh Alhaji Mohammed "Omodu" Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, attended the funeral of Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma, the late Member of Parliament representing Constituency 058 in Tonko Limba Chiefdom.

The ceremony drew a large and high-level delegation, including 51 APC Members of Parliament, APC executives, the Chairman of the SLPP, and multiple SLPP MPs, reflecting Hon. Koroma's ability to unite people beyond political divisions.

In an emotional tribute, Jagaban described the day as one of the saddest in his life, honoring Hon. Koroma as a visionary and servant of the people. He recounted their first meeting in Makeni, where Hon. Koroma presented a proposal outlining four community-driven development projects.

Jagaban pledged to support these initiatives and donated NLe 100,000 to support the late MP's children.

Jagaban committed to personally supporting the family and ensuring Hon. Koroma's vision for Tonko Limba is fulfilled. Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma tragically passed away in a road accident on October 7, 2025, at the age of 38. He was respected for his humility, leadership, and passion for grassroots development.

The funeral procession included a heartfelt sermon on peace and unity, and Hon. Koroma was laid to rest in his hometown, Bayande Village.

Paramount Chief Alimamy Lamina Korgba praised Jagaban for committing to complete the late MP's unfulfilled projects.

Jagaban's gesture was widely appreciated, with attendees calling on all to support the continuation of Hon. Koroma's vision for a better, united Tonko Limba.
