As a publisher, we publish both Trade Paperbacks and eBooks utilizing national distribution channels to make our titles available at Amazon.com, BN.com, and Sony Reader and iPad (ebooks only). They are also available in some indie book stores or can be special ordered. For Film, we are in preproduction with our first Feature Film as well as a short film. Mission: ASD Publishing opened their doors in spring 2011 with the goal of promoting the spirit of the indie community. Taking a risk on a new writer or propelling an existing one into the digital world is ASD's passion. Our authors, like our company, do not fall into one particular genre - however each promote the mission of ASD through their wonderful words that share journeys of personal growth. Being a small publishing house with both fiction and non-fiction allows the company to reach a multitude of readers and gives writers an alternative to traditional publishing. www.asdpublishing.com In 2013, ASD expanded to the world of Film with the feature film HE IS GONE. http://heisgonemovie.com Working with a director and screenwriter during pre-production, we are still raising funds to see that film to fruition. In 2014, we started work on a short film while talking to other filmmakers about how we might be able to help with their projects. ASD has a mission to be a strong indie voice by concentrating on intriguing and arresting works no matter if that's for books, film, or the stage. Followers will find that our projects cover many subjects as we do not discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation - or anything else. We want to share many stories of people's journeys...whatever their path may be.

Another festival! We're thrilled that our film is being seen...even virtually. That's more people that we can reach to share this story.

We are excited to be a part of #CIAFF2020 later this month. Colorado Intl. Activism Film Festival is a wonderful event that highlights films that promote positive messages of activism. Our short brings light on several subject matters as IndyRed says: "Reparations is a sneakily effective way to draw its audience into one story, yet include threads of many more.” We can't wait to be a part of this virtual festival!

Excited to announce we've been accepted into the Jersey Shore Film Festival for 2020. This is the first "local" festival we've gotten into for those on our New Jersey team. We will keep all informed as we get more information from the festival (if there is a date they can hold it live or if it will be online). Congrats to our team!

Chicken Boy Adventures

This is the first April in 7 years author Gregory Allen hasn't been able to visit a school and read his two books about Chicken Boy. So here they are "Live on Tape" from the Irvington Theater in Irvington, NY.

While the country sits in quarantine, please spread this link to teachers who may want to share this story time with their kids too.

Thanks!

Short Film Review: Reparations: On Empathy And The Legitimacy Of Being - Indie Shorts Mag

So proud that our film Reparations The Film continues to garner such wonderful reviews. We can't wait until it is able to start playing at festivals. Currently the first festivals we've been accepted into have all naturally postponed, but hopefully by summer...this story will start to hit audiences.

Historical racism against black people and anti-semitism are brought together on one plane in the form of holocaust survivor, Howard and young, black academic, Michonne. Gregory G. Allen’s 11-minute drama Reparations brings up raw topics, asks uncomfortable, conflicting questions, but above all, t...

The History of ASD Media

As a publisher, we publish both Trade Paperbacks and eBooks utilizing national distribution channels to make our titles available at Amazon.com, BN.com, and Sony Reader and iPad (ebooks only). They are also available in some indie book stores or can be special ordered. We have published several different authors over the years, watching many go on to larger publishing houses. We next moved into film and stage works. We worked with Arthur Wooten bringing his one man show “Dear Henry” to the stage in NYC. We produced the award-winning film “Mother” in 2015 and now working with WOW Films to bring “Hiding in Daylight” to the screen in 2019.
