For the past 5 years I've been lucky enough to get included on a snowcat skiing trip to Chatter Creek with my old US Freestyle Ski Team Teammate John Witt and his friends Jeff Ridha and a few others each March.

In this weeks The Inlander, come along as I share what snow cat skiing at the legendary Chatter Creek Mountain Lodges is all about. The Skiing, the scenery and the vibe at this backcountry mountain lodge is second to none.

Last winter I was fortunate enough to spend some time skiing with Fuzz Fedderson, Jillian Vogtli and Trace Worthington at Deer Valley Resort. All three of these skiers are all former Winter Olympians and they're part of a unique program offered at Deer Valley Resort called, "Ski with a Champion".

This program is great way to get to know these Winter Olympians, hear their Olympic stories while learning the mountain at Deer Valley.

If any of you have ever dreamed about hiking in the alps, I have a friend Melissa Dimino, together with her son Trevor they started a business sharing their passion of trekking in the Alps.

Their business Alpine-Aster Hikes takes small groups of hikers on an 8 day hiking adventure on the infamous Tour du Mont Blanc trek. You’ll trek through France, Italy and Switzerland as you circumvent Most Blanc which is the highest mountain in the Alps at 15,782.

The trip starts off in Chamonix and each day you hike through spectacular mountains with breath taking scenery, ending each night in a different mountain town.

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum is dedicated to honoring excellence, and preserving history. I was able to witness a few of my friends on their memorable day as they were inducted into this exclusive class in the Snowsports world last March when the ceremony was held at Big Sky Resort in Montana.

These HOF Inductions happen at a selected resort each spring and for the past several years I’ve been making the trek to experience these memorable events in snow sports history.

In this weeks The The Inlander/Snowlander my story from the Big Sky HOF Ceremony is featured where Mike Hattrup, Kent Kreitler, CJ Mueller, Phil McNichol, John Eaves and a few others were enshrined into this select class of skiers.

This Pineapple Express/Atmospheric River up here in the PNW has people jonesing for ski season to kick into high gear. It seems this week my YouTube and Vimeo pages have been getting a lot of traffic with skiers wanting to watch ski videos.
I had a viewer comment and ask me a question about one of the Videos. So, I had to watch it to answer the question. I quickly realized this was a Damn Friggen Awesome Trip to Great Northern Powder Guides a few years back. Pretty tough to beat Deep, Blower pow conditions like this.

Take a peek and I'll think you'll agree.

Now hopefully this Atmospheric River blows out of the PNW in the next day so we can focus and rebuild the snowpack as I'm jonsing to get after it. How about you?

If you've never experienced snowcat skiing at Great Northern Powder Guides in Whitefish, Montana I highly recommend you do. It's off the charts GOOD!

It seems Old man Winter is not giving up this year. Might as well take full advantage of it, Big Sky Resort is open until April 23rd. There's still a few more days to get out there.
