Artists know how it feels to have days where you just can't find the motivation, the creativity that you need to get a project started. It's basically like writer's block.

On those days, you can give up or show up and push forward. Sometimes moving to a different project for a little while can shake the cobwebs loose.

But, in the end.....we keep moving forward and get the work done. Usually, it's simply a matter or looking around for some inspiration

Your professional reputation is built on relationships, even the ones that don't pan out. Always act with integrity, even when things are tough. If a partnership or situation isn't working, it's better to gracefully exit and move forward than to create unnecessary conflict. The business world is smaller than you think, and you never know when paths might cross again. And most of us keep track of those who have been burned by you.

What a truly beautiful reminder: nothing meant for you will ever slip away. Dare to love deeply, connect freely, and fully immerse yourself in what sets your soul on fire. Trust that what's truly yours will remain.

I feel this deep in my soul today. Doing business development for a small business isn't for the faint of heart. There are so many projects or clients that aren't the right fit - as much as we want the job. You learn to have thick skin and to firmly believe that what sticks is what's meant for us.

And let me tell you...we love the jobs we have had the pleasure of working on, and we're excited that we have some new projects in the works. More to come about that soon!!!

Bold Characters Media Company was out and about in Old Town Warrenton, VA today.

We wanted to shout out some of the places we ❤️❤️❤️ and went to today. We highly recommend you go visit:

Studio Luxe Boutique - for everything fashion. LOVE this place.
WeirdDoughs Bagels and Brews - We had an asiago bagel with egg and cheese. It was a perfect blend of cheese/egg and saltiness. We'll be back again. Oh, and their Dirty Pops (Sodas) are super delicous. We had one called Cupid (not the full name....I'm blanking, but it was yummy).
Frozen Yogi Warrenton - I had simple drink here today, but I will be back for the Dubai Chocolate cup - that has strawberries mixed in there. Their space is adorable, and bright and so kid friendly. They have a conference space you can use, and a Selfie Station downstairs. I'm planning a return trip next week.
DejaVu Anew - Beautifully thrifted clothes in a very supportive, LGBTQ+ friendly environment. It's quirky and delightful and my daughter and I can't wait to go back and shop again soon. Back to school shopping? Yes, please.
Licorice Pizza - We tried the pizza, a burger and a baked potato and everything was hot and tasty. The staff is so friendly and it was such a great place to sit and watch people walk by outside. All of the natural light flooding in made it feel cozy. We will be back!!!
3 Sisters - This shop is so bright and airy. You literally feel like you're in a better mood surrounding yourself in the pale blues and neutral colors. What a breath of fresh air - this store is a must visit.
