Join Phil Neace this Wednesday as we will be talking to Charles Shouse and Mike Shouse, Eastern Kentucky movie makers with years of experience who are planning to film a production soon in and around Hazard/Perry County. They will put information out about things they may need that our local residents can help them with as well as talking about the history of making movies in Appalachia. To help the conversation to those film fans of our area, each of the films pictured have a specific connection to the Appalachian region, either from the story itself, where it was filmed to the actors or filmmakers themselves. Do you know the Appalachian connection to these movies? What other Appalachian connected movies would you add?

Join Phil Neace this Wednesday as we will attempt to have a discussion on the current nationwide feelings on the The Freedom of Speech, the most fundamental principle of America's foundation and our Democracy. Phil has made attempts over the past week to acquire guests to interview on the topic, attorneys educators, any noted citizen with a great knowledge of American Civics, but so far, no one has agreed to be part of the discussion. Maybe this proves the point that the Freedom of Speech no longer is viewed as it once was. Would there be anyone out in our area interested to lend their Voice to the discussion and be interviewed? Contact us.

Talk Back has a special need for a guest to be interviewed on the air!
With our Nation's most valued aspect of Freedom being heavily discussed across our country, The Freedom of Speech will be our topic on next Wednesday's Talk Back radio program, October 1st at 5:15pm, with a focus on how people's feelings and attitudes about it have changed as of late.
I would like to seek the aid of one of our own citizens, someone with legal or American Civics knowledge as an authority on the Freedom of Speech in America, who can help this discussion and help answer anyone's questions on the responsibilities and boundaries of Free Speech. Otherwise, it will just be my lone observations on how people think about America's Freedom of Speech.
If you feel you have an degree of knowledge on the subject, experienced legal professional or civics education, and you would be willing to be a part of this on the air discussion, please contact Phil Neace. If you know some one that fits this knowledgeable description, please inform and share with them this opportunity.

Thank you for your help,

~ Phil Neace

It was wonderful to be nostalgic about MC Napier High and Dilce Combs High School as well as inform everyone about tonight's 30th Anniversary Celebration at Perry County Central HS being created from the two schools consolidation.
Everyone come to PCC tonight to be a part of it!
