As a response to all the AI content I keep seeing online I would like to make this statement:

Thomas Blackmore Productions will not use AI in any case where a person could do the same task.

The reason I have to say it this way is, AI does have benefits but is out of control. I use AI daily. It doesn’t write my scripts I use it as a way to build my ideas by talking to it. In no way does what the AI say have any affect on my ideas.

For the longest time I have experimented with AI. I make AI music. I made AI videos. And I see a lot of downfalls with it.

AI is good when needing to segment a 2 hour interview. DaVinci Resolve Studio transcribes video and generates captions automatically, as well as using the transcript to make direct edits to the video fast. It took something that would take days into hours or even minutes.

Whenever I can I try not to use AI in my films or videos. And I will commit to using it only when myself or any other person cannot do the task needed or it is a tool that only affects my ability to get the task done, without impeding on the quality of the video.

AI is being pushed hard and I feel its being pushed prematurely, and is being used wrong. AI slop at this point angers me when I see it online, and I think the AI bubble will pop. I feel this is only a trend and it will slowly die down once people realize how expensive and inconvenient it also can be. Its only a matter of time
