Hemet - Homicide
400 Block of Steiner Dr.

Press Release From Hemet Police Department.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:57 a.m., the Hemet Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from the 400 block of Steiner Drive regarding a disturbance. Moments later, the caller indicated someone had been shot. Upon officer’s arrival, they located a crime scene but were unable to locate a shooting victim.
A short time later, two victims with gunshot wounds arrived at Hemet Global Medical Center. Both sustained critical injuries and were later taken to a nearby trauma center.
Two more gunshot victims were contacted on their way to the hospital. Inside the vehicle, officers found a deceased juvenile male. The other victim was taken to a nearby trauma center by AMR. The identity of the deceased will not be disclosed at this time, pending official family notification. Hemet Police Department’s Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation.
This is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. Hemet - Fatal Motorcycle Vs Fire Truck
State St. X Chambers Ave.

On 8/29/25 at 8:36 PM someone riding a pit bike style motorcycle collided into a city of Hemet fire truck. CPR was performed on the motorcycle rider however despite life saving measures the rider succumbed to his injuries on scene. It appeared that the rider of the motorcycle struck the left side of Hemet Fire Engine 2 going southbound State St. when rider was going eastbound on Chambers Ave. at the intersection. Officers with the Hemet Police Department conducted a investigation of the collision along with officers with the California Highway Patrol. The intersection of State St and Chambers Ave was mostly closed down during the investigation of the incident. Once more information becomes available this post will be updated.

Wi******er - Fatal Auto Vs Ped
Wi******er Road south of Stetson Ave.

At 2:17 firefighters with Cal Fire Riverside County with RSO got dispatched to a vehicle vs ped call on Hwy 79 south of Stetson Ave. Upon arrival firefighters attempted CPR on the victim but the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. CHP was dispatched to the incident because it was in their area. The driver of the grey Honda sedan was cooperative with officers and passed the field sobriety tests and later was released from the scene. There are no further details at the time of writing this post, if any more information becomes available we will update this post.

Hemet - Single Vehicle TC Sparks brushfire

On 8/18/25 someone driving a vehicle going northbound on Bautista Canyon road lost control of the vehicle and ended up off road. The vehicle caused the brush it was on to ignite, the occupant or occupants then fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services. The size of the fire was a total of .68 acres according to radio traffic on Cal Fire Riverside County. The firefighters responding were able to contain the fire before it spread further and the status of vehicle occupant or occupants is unknown. San Jacinto - Hit And Run
Lake Park Dr. X Ramona Expressway

On 8/15/25 someone riding a scooter was struck by a white Nissan sedan on Lake Park Drive, the person who drove the Nissan fled the scene of the accident with the vehicle. Firefighters with RVC fire and Paramedics from AMR quickly rendered medical aid and transported the victim to a nearby hospital while deputies conducted a investigation. Deputies shortly after the accident found the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop arresting the driver for hit and run on Lyon Ave and Ramona Expressway. This incident is currently under investigation by the Riverside County Sheriffs Dept and post will be updated if more information becomes available.

Hemet - Fatal Traffic Collision
Lyon Ave X Eaton Ave

Press Release From Hemet Police Department:

-PRESS RELEASE-

Hemet, CA.- On Thursday, August 14, 2025, at approximately 1225 hours, the Hemet Police Communications Center received a call regarding a motorcycle colliding with a vehicle in the area of Lyon Avenue and Eaton Avenue, in the City of Hemet. Officers arrived on scene within minutes and located an unresponsive motorcyclist down in the roadway. Officers immediately began rendering aid to the motorcyclist until they were relieved by medical personnel. Despite these life-saving measures, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The other driver involved in this collision also remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

Based on this information, the Hemet Police Department Traffic Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Motorcyclist was riding east on Eaton Avenue when he collided with a vehicle traveling south on Lyon Avenue. Impaired driving does not appear to be a factor, and the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

Hemet - Fire
200 North Block Valley View Drive

On 8/14/25 at 12:42 a residential fire broke out in a apartment complex on the 200 N Block of Valley View Dr. upon arrival firefighters with the Hemet Fire Dept and officers with the Hemet Police Dept found a apartment at the end of the complex fully engulfed. The apartments nearby were evacuated and it appeared there were no injuries from this incident. It is currently unknown how many people were displaced from the fire at the time of writing this post, it will be updated if more information becomes available.

San Jacinto - Traffic Collision
San Jacinto Ave. X Shaver St.

Information from RSO PIO:
At 8:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Shaver Street and San Jacinto Avenue regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located two vehicles with collision damage, one of which was overturned. One subject was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. No additional details are available at this time.

San Jacinto - Fatal Traffic Collision
Ramona Expressway X Sanderson Ave.

Update one with press release-
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 4:22 p.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to Ramona Expressway, west of Sanderson Avenue, in the city of San Jacinto, regarding a two-vehicle, head-on traffic collision. When deputies and paramedics arrived, the three occupants of one of the vehicles had already been assisted out of their vehicle and were receiving medical aid by off-duty nurses. Medical personnel took over the medical efforts, and the occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver, and sole occupant of the second vehicle, was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The San Jacinto Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation determined one vehicle was traveling westbound on Ramona Expressway and crossed over the center line, colliding head-on with the second vehicle. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no further information will be released.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Ramona Expressway, between Sanderson Avenue and Warren Road. According to the coroner release the victim's name was Cynthia Medina out of Beaumont she was 47 years old.

At 4:12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of the Ramona Expressway and State Highway 79 regarding a traffic collision.

Upon arrival, the deputies located two vehicles with collision damage. One subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional subjects were transported to a local hospital. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing. No additional details are available.

Hemet - Shooting
Columbia Ave. X Florida Ave.

Update one with press release:

On Monday, August 4, 2025, at 9:20 PM, deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the 41000 block of Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Hemet regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies learned that the victim had been in an altercation with the suspect over a minor traffic collision prior to the shooting. During the altercation, the suspect also attempted to rob the victim.

Later, the suspect, 27-year-old Kenneth Green of Hemet, returned to the crime scene and turned himself in. Green was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and criminal threats.

At 9:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Columbia Street and Highway 74 regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies located a subject with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The subject was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. There is no suspect in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

San Jacinto - Traffic Collision
Sanderson Ave. X Cottonwood Ave

On 7/31/25 at 9:32 PM someone driving a white Honda Accord going southbound on Sanderson Ave. rear ended a deputy driving a white sheriffs truck at the stoplight On Sanderson Ave X Cottonwood Ave. causing the truck to rear end a black sedan. All three occupants of the different vehicles were transported to nearby hospitals. It is suspected but not confirmed that the driver of the white Honda was under the influence due to officers with CHP finding multiple open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. This post will be update once more information becomes available

Hemet - DUI (driver backs into pd unit)
Florida Ave. X Columbia Ave.

At 2:13 AM a officer with the Hemet Police Department responded to a male being passed out behind the wheel in the middle of the street on Florida Ave and Columbia Ave, upon arrival the officer found a male in a red Honda sedan passed out and attempted to wake him up. Upon being woken up the male was instructed to pull over to the side, instead of doing that he backed into the police cruiser. After blowing into the pass (breathalyzer) it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and arrested for DUI.
