San Jacinto - Fatal Traffic Collision
Ramona Expressway X Sanderson Ave.

Update one with press release-
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 4:22 p.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to Ramona Expressway, west of Sanderson Avenue, in the city of San Jacinto, regarding a two-vehicle, head-on traffic collision. When deputies and paramedics arrived, the three occupants of one of the vehicles had already been assisted out of their vehicle and were receiving medical aid by off-duty nurses. Medical personnel took over the medical efforts, and the occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver, and sole occupant of the second vehicle, was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The San Jacinto Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation determined one vehicle was traveling westbound on Ramona Expressway and crossed over the center line, colliding head-on with the second vehicle. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no further information will be released.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Ramona Expressway, between Sanderson Avenue and Warren Road. According to the coroner release the victim's name was Cynthia Medina out of Beaumont she was 47 years old.

At 4:12 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of the Ramona Expressway and State Highway 79 regarding a traffic collision.

Upon arrival, the deputies located two vehicles with collision damage. One subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional subjects were transported to a local hospital. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing. No additional details are available.

Hemet - Shooting
Columbia Ave. X Florida Ave.

Update one with press release:

On Monday, August 4, 2025, at 9:20 PM, deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the 41000 block of Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Hemet regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies learned that the victim had been in an altercation with the suspect over a minor traffic collision prior to the shooting. During the altercation, the suspect also attempted to rob the victim.

Later, the suspect, 27-year-old Kenneth Green of Hemet, returned to the crime scene and turned himself in. Green was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and criminal threats.

At 9:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Columbia Street and Highway 74 regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies located a subject with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The subject was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. There is no suspect in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

San Jacinto - Traffic Collision
Sanderson Ave. X Cottonwood Ave

On 7/31/25 at 9:32 PM someone driving a white Honda Accord going southbound on Sanderson Ave. rear ended a deputy driving a white sheriffs truck at the stoplight On Sanderson Ave X Cottonwood Ave. causing the truck to rear end a black sedan. All three occupants of the different vehicles were transported to nearby hospitals. It is suspected but not confirmed that the driver of the white Honda was under the influence due to officers with CHP finding multiple open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Hemet - DUI (driver backs into pd unit)
Florida Ave. X Columbia Ave.

At 2:13 AM a officer with the Hemet Police Department responded to a male being passed out behind the wheel in the middle of the street on Florida Ave and Columbia Ave, upon arrival the officer found a male in a red Honda sedan passed out and attempted to wake him up. Upon being woken up the male was instructed to pull over to the side, instead of doing that he backed into the police cruiser. After blowing into the pass (breathalyzer) it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol and arrested for DUI.

Hemet - Fight leads to dog getting stabbed
Myers St X Florida Ave

This Incident occurred on 7/21/25 at around 4:15 PM
Information From Hemet PD PIO:
Two individuals were fighting in the parking lot and a dog was stabbed. bystanders reported seeing a gun kicked away from the area and that someone had picked it up. Officers responded and were able to locate a airsoft pistol. Subject with the dog took off from the location.

Additionally this is the same owner with dog that was previously stabbed in another incident back in April 30th of this year. Here's the link to the previous incident.

Homeland - Vehicle Vs Fire Hydrant (DUI)
Highway 74 X Clinton Ave

At 4:39 AM a traffic collision occurred where someone driving a Toyota sedan lost control of the vehicle and collided into a fire hydrant causing water to shoot out. The flow of water was stopped a little over a hour after the incident happened. It is unknown at the time of writing this post what the circumstances with the driver are, we will update this post once more information becomes available.

Update 1:
The driver of Toyota was male, transported to a nearby hospital for injuries from collision and subsequently arrested for DUI.

Lakeview - Vehicle Fire
Ramona Expressway X 1st St.

On 7/10/25 at 4:15 AM firefighters with Cal Fire Riverside County responded to a vehicle on fire on the Ramona Expressway. Upon arrival firefighters found a sedan fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished shortly after, there were no reports of injuries on this incident.

San Jacinto - Brush Fire
Sanderson Ave X Cottonwood Ave

On 7/4/25 at 8:52 PM a bushfire occurred in a field on the southwest corner of Sanderson Ave and Cottonwood Ave. Firefighters from Cal Fire Riverside County and Hemet Fire department responded to the incident. At one point the fire split into two fires then merged back into one. The fire was mapped at around 18 acres in size once the fire was fully contained and extinguished.

Hemet - Fatal Traffic Collision
State St. X Chambers Ave.

Press Release From Hemet Police Department:
Hemet, CA.- On Sunday June 22nd ,2025 at approximately 2102 hours, Hemet Police Communications Center received several 911 calls regarding a traffic collision that occurred in the area of State Street and Chambers Street, in the City of Hemet. Hemet Police Officers arrived on scene and located a silver Toyota Sedan and a small compact Kia that were involved in the collision. The driver of the Kia was unresponsive and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Additional passengers inside the Kia were immediately transported to a local hospital for further treatment; however, one of the passengers also succumbed to their injuries sustained during the collision. The driver of the Toyota was also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries and is cooperative with the investigation.
The Hemet Police Department Traffic Bureau responded to the scene of the collision and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that the silver Toyota was traveling north on State Street and collided with the Kia that was leaving the driveway of 1536 S. State Street. Impaired driving is not suspected at this point in time, and the identity of the decedents is being withheld pending family notification. State Street was closed from Domenigoni Pkwy to Chambers Street from approximately 10:00 pm to 02:00 am.
