Hemet - Traffic Stop With Foot Bail And Apprehension
N Taquitz Ave X La Jolla Ave.

On 11/13/25 at around 2:30 AM officers with the Hemet Police Department stopped a black Honda Civic on La Jolla Ave., the male driver of the Honda then took off running on foot ending up on Malibu street jumping fences and climbing roofs. During the foot chasse the suspect acted like he had something in his waist while running. Eventually the suspect was found and ended up on Taquitz Ave. where he was apprehended. Officers then searched the area for a possible weapon the suspect may have tossed but did not find any weapons. The suspect was placed under arrest, also had active warrants if any more information becomes available the post will be updated.

(We do know there is heavy breathing from the cameraman, there was running involved while literally chasing the story.)

Hemet - Arson
Florida Ave. X Lyon Ave.

At 2:00 a male set a gas pump on fire on the 1700 W Block of Florida Ave and fled the scene, A fire investigator with the Hemet Fire Dept was the first on scene and put the fire out after grabbing a fire extinguisher from the gas station. Officers found the suspect about a block west near a chuck e cheese on W Florida Ave. and arrested him for the fire.

Hemet - Collision After Short Pursuit (DUI)
Girard Ave. X Acacia Ave.

On 11/6/25 at around 2:00 AM a Hemet Police officer observed a male driving a black Mercedes sedan recklessly on Florida Ave. heading eastbound, the officer then turned around to catch up to the vehicle. The suspect saw the officer trying to catch up and tried evading the officer, going southbound on Girard Ave. the suspect tried to turn west on Acacia Ave where he lost control of the vehicle crashing into a iron fence and concrete/brick sign of the Cornerstone Church. The driver refused to comply with the commands of the officers to exit the vehicle and was talking on his cellphone. One of the officers on scene went to the police station to grab their bearcat. The officers were eventually able to get the suspect out of the vehicle, render medical aid and have him transported to a nearby hospital. Alcohol is believed to play a factor in this incident, if any further information comes out this post will be updated.

Hemet - DUI Traffic Collision

Johnston Ave. X Douglass Ct.

At 1:19 AM a female driving a tan Chevy sedan crashed into a parked black Mazda cross over on the 400 E Block of Johnston Ave. Officers with the Hemet Police Department, firefighters with the Hemet Fire Department and AMR responded to the incident. After being checked for injuries officers began doing field sobriety tests and determined the female driver was impaired then arrested her for DUI.

Hemet - Hit And Run Run
Hwy 74 east of Bee Canyon

On 10/19/25 at 3:29 AM a single vehicle traffic collision was reported on Highway 74 east of Bee Canyon. Upon arrival firefighters with CAL Fire Riverside County found a black Jeep on its side that crashed into a guard rail with no victims in or around the vehicle. The firefighters along with AMR started searching the nearby area for a possible ejected victim however no one was found. CHP arrived on scene and conducted their investigation of the incident. If more information becomes available we will update this post.

Hemet - Suspect arrested after short chase

On 10/18/25 in the early morning a male driving a Honda Civic led officers with the Hemet Police Department on a short slow pursuit that ended in a foot bail on 500 Block of N Santa Fe Street. After fleeing the vehicle the suspect was small enough to squeeze through the iron gate and hide in a senior apartment complex. Officers called for a K-9 unit, Duke the bloodhound was brought by his handler and shortly found the suspect hiding in a tree where he was detained then arrested. Duke was then rewarded with treats for quickly finding the suspect.

Hemet, Calif. — On Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 9:46 a.m., the Hemet Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a shooting in the 3100 block of West Florida Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The identity of the deceased will not be disclosed at this time, pending official family notification.
This is an active homicide investigation handled by the Hemet Police Department’s Investigations Bureau. Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact Corporal Sobaszek at (951)765-2497 or provide an anonymous tip through the Hemet Police Department’s smartphone app, available for free in the Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android users.

Hemet - Search warrant with SWAT team
1200 Block of West Latham Ave.

On 10/2/25 in the early morning a search warrant was served on the 1200 block of W Latham Ave. The Hemet Police Department's SWAT TEAM along with SWAT teams with the Menifee Police Department and the Murietta Police Department assisted in the operation. At least one person was detained, according to the Hemet Police Departments page a gun and drugs were also found during the search. There are no further details at this time. Hemet - Homicide
400 Block of Steiner Dr.

Press Release From Hemet Police Department.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:57 a.m., the Hemet Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from the 400 block of Steiner Drive regarding a disturbance. Moments later, the caller indicated someone had been shot. Upon officer’s arrival, they located a crime scene but were unable to locate a shooting victim.
A short time later, two victims with gunshot wounds arrived at Hemet Global Medical Center. Both sustained critical injuries and were later taken to a nearby trauma center.
Two more gunshot victims were contacted on their way to the hospital. Inside the vehicle, officers found a deceased juvenile male. The other victim was taken to a nearby trauma center by AMR. The identity of the deceased will not be disclosed at this time, pending official family notification. Hemet Police Department’s Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation.
This is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. Hemet - Fatal Motorcycle Vs Fire Truck
State St. X Chambers Ave.

On 8/29/25 at 8:36 PM someone riding a pit bike style motorcycle collided into a city of Hemet fire truck. CPR was performed on the motorcycle rider however despite life saving measures the rider succumbed to his injuries on scene. It appeared that the rider of the motorcycle struck the left side of Hemet Fire Engine 2 going southbound State St. when rider was going eastbound on Chambers Ave. at the intersection. Officers with the Hemet Police Department conducted a investigation of the collision along with officers with the California Highway Patrol. The intersection of State St and Chambers Ave was mostly closed down during the investigation of the incident. Once more information becomes available this post will be updated.

Wi******er - Fatal Auto Vs Ped
Wi******er Road south of Stetson Ave.

At 2:17 firefighters with Cal Fire Riverside County with RSO got dispatched to a vehicle vs ped call on Hwy 79 south of Stetson Ave. Upon arrival firefighters attempted CPR on the victim but the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. CHP was dispatched to the incident because it was in their area. The driver of the grey Honda sedan was cooperative with officers and passed the field sobriety tests and later was released from the scene. There are no further details at the time of writing this post, if any more information becomes available we will update this post.
