I was most excited to try airplane food, as the only other flights I had been on were three hours long and, on those, you are only given a beverage and a snack. From our Features Section, “At the Hempstead Housing Authority, senior citizens play board games, paint their nails and engage in bingo games with Hofstra University students up to three times per semester. These visits are led by Hofstra’s chapter of GlamourGals, a national organization made to empower young leaders to end senior loneliness.”

From our Features Section, “The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication (LHSC) is home to Hofstra University’s filmmakers. During their time at Hofstra, most television and film students take at least one production class that requires them to use film equipment. Students have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment in their classes and extracurriculars. How do they have access to this equipment? The Equipment Room, or as the communications student refers to it, the ER.”

From our Features Section, “For the last eight years of my life, I haven’t had a single painfree moment. On Sept. 17, 2018, I tore my ACL and meniscus during gym class and, since then, have struggled with constant knee pain and instability. As if that wasn’t enough, in Aug. 2022, I injured my shoulder during karaoke (don’t ask).”
