PILOT SPEAKS OUT AFTER BEING STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES BY CO-PILOT

Captain Smit Machchhar is now describing what happened inside the cockpit after he was stabbed multiple times by his co-pilot during Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

Smit said he suffered numerous wounds and ended up on the cockpit floor as the aircraft went into a terrifying descent. According to Reuters, the plane dropped nearly 14,000 feet in less than 30 seconds.

Despite his injuries, Smit realized he needed to get the cockpit door open. He managed to get back up and described making “one last push” to open it, allowing others to enter the cockpit and help overpower the co-pilot. Other pilots aboard were then able to take control and safely land the aircraft in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking from his hospital bed during a video call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Smit explained what kept him going:

“I couldn’t let the others die.”

Smit remains hospitalized and recovering. Authorities are still investigating why the co-pilot attacked him and what was used during the stabbing.

‼️ A 17-year-old boy was punched inside his high school classroom, ran into the hallway and moments later went over a FOURTH-FLOOR railing to his death.

Now his family says what happened before that horrifying video began is just as important.

They say Xavier had been bullied for YEARS.

Xavier Nungaray was a senior at Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles when a confrontation broke out Wednesday.

Video circulating from inside the school shows a teacher trying to intervene before another student strikes Xavier. The Los Angeles Times reports another video shows the attacker shouting racial slurs.

A student who witnessed the confrontation told ABC7 the other boy kept throwing punches while Xavier wasn't fighting back.

Xavier got up, ran from the classroom and, moments later, went over a fourth-floor railing.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Police are still investigating exactly what happened and say they have found no evidence of foul play in his death.

But Xavier's family says this wasn't the first time he had been bullied.

His stepmother says he had endured bullying throughout high school but was afraid to report it because he feared HE would be the one who got punished.

His aunt says it became so bad that Xavier wanted to change schools.

And this is where I don't want the horrifying final moments of his life to erase the 17 years that came before them.

A classmate who had known Xavier since SECOND GRADE remembers a funny kid who loved laughing at everyone else's jokes. She says he was the kind of friend who would be there when you needed him and seemed to always have a smile.

Hundreds of people have now gathered outside his school, surrounding his pictures with flowers and candles.

His family is preparing to bury him.

And parents who send their own children through school doors every morning believing they'll be safe are left with some incredibly difficult questions about what happened here.

Xavier's family believes the bullying he endured matters, while investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

So rather than pretending we already know every answer, maybe we should ask a question that could matter for the NEXT child:

If a kid is being bullied but is too afraid to tell an adult because he thinks HE might get in trouble, how are parents and teachers supposed to recognize it before something terrible happens?

A woman paid her childhood friend to murder her pregnant ex-girlfriend, the woman’s husband and their daughter — then watched the attack unfold over FaceTime, prosecutors say.

Alexus Chenelle Williams, 33, has now been sentenced to 40 years in prison for orchestrating the 2021 killings of 29-year-old Donyavia Lagway, Lagway’s 35-year-old husband Gregory Carhee and their 6-year-old daughter, Harmony Carhee, inside their Houston apartment.

Authorities say Williams had previously been in a relationship with Lagway, who later reunited with Carhee and was pregnant with his child. Prosecutors say Williams recruited her childhood friend, Xavier Davis, to carry out the killings and told him he could keep money he found inside the home.

On June 30, 2021, Davis allegedly arrived at the apartment and opened fire after Carhee answered the door — while Williams watched through FaceTime. Lagway, Carhee and 6-year-old Harmony were killed. The couple’s 10-year-old daughter was also shot but survived by pretending to be dead while holding the hand of her 1-year-old brother. After the gunman left, the little girl managed to alert family members, who called police.

Investigators later arrested Davis with $3,000 and am******on that matched shell casings recovered from the scene. Police eventually found the murder weapon at his girlfriend’s home.

But Williams wasn’t arrested immediately. Detectives spent months building their case, using text messages between her and Davis to connect her to the killings. During that time, Williams even attended the victims’ funerals.

Williams pleaded guilty to three counts of murder and was sentenced to 40 years behind bars. Davis previously pleaded guilty to three counts of capital murder and was sentenced to death.

A pregnant woman, her husband and their 6-year-old child were killed inside their own home — while a 10-year-old girl survived by playing dead beside her baby brother. And prosecutors say the woman who arranged it all was watching from a screen.

FLORIDA TEEN STRUCK WHILE FILMING HAIRCUT VIDEO ON MEDIAN

An unusual social-media video took a serious turn in Ocala, Florida.

Police say three young men, ages 18, 19 and 20, were on the median of SW College Road Sunday night filming a video involving one of them getting a haircut.

While they were filming, a Chevrolet Silverado and Lexus collided nearby. The impact sent the pickup onto the median, where it struck the 18-year-old.

He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. Despite rumors circulating online, authorities later confirmed he survived and was reported stable.

Police said there were no signs either driver was impaired, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the initial collision.

The group reportedly considered filming in the traffic lanes before deciding the median would be safer.

🚨 A Tennessee man allegedly ripped the air conditioner from a 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL’S bedroom window, pulled her through the opening, dragged her into the woods, tied her to a tree and threatened to r*pe her.

The accused man had already served four and a half years after an earlier case in which a 95-YEAR-OLD WOMAN was s*xually as$aulted inside her home.

Police in Newbern, Tennessee, say Steven Devonte Harris, 30, ripped an air conditioner from the girl’s bedroom window during the early morning hours of Sept. 23.

An affidavit from Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Tyler Huelsing says the child was clutching her comforter as she was pulled through the opening.

The man allegedly dragged her into the woods behind the apartments, tied her to a tree with his belt, held a knife to her throat and said he was going to r*pe her.

He then walked away.

The girl managed to free herself and ran, but investigators say her attacker caught her again and began choking her.

A neighbor heard her screaming at approximately 12:50 a.m.

Someone began honking a car horn and yelling. The girl’s aunt ran outside carrying a spiked bat.

The attacker fled.

TBI said that intervention may have saved the child’s life.

Investigators recovered a belt, a v**e and a green sweatshirt from the woods. Rapid DNA testing at the TBI Crime Lab in Nashville identified Harris as the suspect, according to the affidavit.

The results came back near midnight, and Harris was arrested that night.

Investigators say Harris was deceptive during an interview before admitting that he had been in the area and helped remove the window air conditioner.

He is charged with two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated as$ault, aggravated burglary and attempted r*pe of a child.

The charges remain allegations and have not been proven in court.

In 2019, Harris was charged after a man forced his way into a Newbern home and s*xually as$aulted a 95-year-old woman.

Newbern Police Chief Greg Barr said those charges were ultimately reduced to aggravated as$ault. The Tennessee Department of Correction said Harris served four years and six months before his sentence expired on March 12, 2023.

Three years later, he is now accused of dragging a 10-year-old girl from her bedroom.

District Attorney Danny Goodman Jr. said Harris was scheduled to appear Monday morning in Dyer County General Sessions Court.

The child was taken to a hospital after the attack.

NEW TONIGHT: Ken Urker, the man Gypsy Rose Blanchard once called the love of her life and the father of her only child, is dead at 33.

Urker was found unresponsive at a home in Louisiana on Thursday, October 1 — his birthday — TMZ reported.

According to TMZ, Gypsy's brother Dylan checked on him after Blanchard texted “happy birthday” and got no reply.

No cause of death has been released.

😡 WOMAN WANTED AFTER POLICE SAY PUPPY WAS LURED INTO PATH OF MINIVAN

Santa Ana Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman after investigators say surveillance video captured a disturbing incident involving a 9-month-old pit bull mix.

The incident happened September 8 near 926 W. Park Lane in Santa Ana, California.

According to police, the woman arrived in an older blue or green Honda Odyssey, removed the puppy from the vehicle and placed food on the ground near the driver’s side. Investigators say she then drove forward over the puppy and left the area. The puppy did not survive.

Police released the surveillance footage on September 30 after investigators were unable to identify the woman or obtain a readable license plate.

She has not been identified or arrested as of the latest update.

Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger has been granted parole nearly seven years after she was convicted of murdering her neighbor, Botham Jean, inside his own apartment. Guyger, now 38, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the 2018 killing of 26-year-old Jean, who was unarmed and eating ice cream in his living room when she entered and shot him.

Guyger claimed she mistakenly walked into Jean’s apartment believing it was hers and thought he was an intruder. Prosecutors argued evidence suggested Jean was either rising from his couch or cowering when he was shot. Her trial also exposed disturbing texts unrelated to Jean’s killing that raised questions about her views on race. In one exchange about Martin Luther King Jr., Guyger joked, “When MLK is dead … oh wait ….” In another conversation, after someone joked that their dog “may be racist,” Guyger responded, “It’s okay … I’m the same.”

Guyger was first eligible for parole in September 2024 but was denied. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has now approved her release, citing her lack of a documented pattern of violent arrests, satisfactory behavior while incarcerated and completion of programs intended to help her maintain employment after prison. The decision comes despite prosecutors originally asking jurors to sentence Guyger to at least 28 years for Jean’s murder.

A landlord went upstairs to investigate a water leak — and instead found a naked, malnourished woman lying on a mat in an unfinished attic, beside a bucket that had been used as a toilet.

Prosecutors say the woman had been trapped there for roughly six weeks.

Authorities allege 29-year-old Jordende Pierre met the woman on a dating app, picked her up from a rehabilitation facility and brought her to the Malden, Massachusetts, home. Once there, prosecutors say he gave her drugs, sexually assaulted her and forced her into sexual encounters with other men for money that he kept.

Investigators say Pierre allegedly made sure she couldn’t simply walk away. The attic door handle could be removed, and prosecutors say he would take it off to prevent her from escaping.

The nightmare reportedly ended only because the property owner and her husband came to investigate a water leak on Sept. 20. After tenants initially prevented them from entering parts of the house, they eventually reached the attic and discovered the woman. Police were called, and she was taken to safety and reunited with her family.

Pierre was arrested days later and has pleaded not guilty to charges including kidnapping, human trafficking and indecent assault and battery. He is being held without bail ahead of a dangerousness hearing.

For six weeks, prosecutors say a woman was hidden inside an attic where no one was supposed to be living — and a water leak may have ultimately led to her rescue.

JACKSONVILLE WOMAN ACCUSED OF CUTTING HUSBAND WITH BUTCHER KNIFE WHILE CHILD WAS IN THE ROOM

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. A 21 year old Jacksonville woman is behind bars after authorities say a domestic dispute turned violent with an 8 inch butcher knife while a child was inside the room.

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office arrested Rocio Vargas, 21, on Saturday, September 26.

According to charging documents, Vargas is accused of attacking her husband with the butcher knife, cutting his right arm near the wrist. Authorities also allege she struck him in the face with her hand.

The documents state that the couple's child was inside the room during the alleged assault, leading to an additional child abuse charge.

Vargas is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and misdemeanor child abuse.

Online court and jail information indicated Vargas was being held on a domestic hold following her arrest.
