Le Sueur's city budget for 2026 started with a proposed 7.9 percent increase in September, but continued pressure from residents to keep taxes down has resulted in a decrease to 3.55 percent. The city will be certifying next year's levy on Dec. 8.

The Bulldogs boys hockey team played a tough first game, falling 3-2 to Westonka in overtime.

“If we come with that effort and compete level, we are going to win more games than we are going to lose. We have a few things to clean up in our defensive zone and on our back check but those are fixable especially when we get that kind of effort and compete level,” said Coach Chris Miller.

The Minnesota River Bulldogs boys hockey team opened the season on Friday, Nov. 21 with a very close 3-2 overtime loss to Westonka, on the home ice in Le Sueur.

Discussions continued at the Nov. 19 meeting of the Henderson City Council in regards to the Henderson Trailhead project at Bender Park.

In addition to not finishing the project on time, the contractor lined the parking lot at 45 degrees instead of the specified 30, resulting in fewer parking spaces and an incorrectly designed handicapped parking space.

Tempers flared and harsh words were exchanged from both sides as the discussion on the next steps for the Henderson Trailhead at Bender Park continued at the Henderson City Council
