The Le Sueur Braves pulled off a big 6-2 win today over Regal to reach the Class C State Semifinals!

They take on the Hanska Lakers at 1 pm in Brownton on Sunday!

The Le Sueur Braves earned a spot in the Class C State semifinals on Sunday afternoon after beating the Regal Eagles 6-2 on Saturday afternoon in Hutchinson.

An early morning crash along Highway 19, about 13 miles west of town, claimed the life of 17-year-old Mya Maus.

Strong pitching once again helped the Braves win in the Class C State Tournament. Logan Feeney struck out 12 of 28 batters faced against Leavenworth on Saturday night, and the Braves went on to win 1-0.

Next up, the Braves will be taking on the Regal Eagles on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Hutchinson.

The Le Sueur Braves town ball team kept its state tournament dreams alive with a 1-0 win over the Leavenworth Orioles on Saturday, Aug. 22.

CLASS C STATE BASEBALL UPDATE:
The Le Sueur Braves beat Leavenworth 1-0 tonight to officially make the top 8 teams (out of 32 that started) and reach the final weekend of the state tournament!

They will resume action on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Hutchinson, against the winner of tomorrow's Regal Eagles vs. Waterville Indians game. (Photo by Jennifer Weick)

The Le Sueur and Henderson communities, and the public safety community in general, were rocked on Tuesday, Aug. 19 by the news that Le Sueur Police officer Karl Haugen, 41, had died unexpectedly while off duty on Monday.

Karl Haugen, who served as Henderson's Police Chief from January 2017 to August 2019, has passed away. Our condolences go out to his wife and children as they deal with this loss.

The Minnesota River at Henderson is currently 4 feet below flood stage, and projected to surpass the flood stage of 732 feet by Thursday at 1 PM.

A new generation of gardeners bloomed last week, as 11 young kids completed the Ready, Set, Grow! program, run by Le Sueur County Master Gardeners.

Some of these young green thumbs entered their produce in the Le Sueur County Fair, which runs through Sunday.
