LOST HORSES โ€“ PLEASE SHARE
The owner received several calls today that his two horses got out near 51 & Banner Road and were last seen traveling east.

The owner has driven the area and hasnโ€™t been able to spot them yet, and is hoping this post helps bring them home.

โ€ข All white horse named Sugar Cane
โ€ข Brown horse named Reggie with a white stripe running up his nose
โ€ข Both are without halters

If you see them or have any information, please comment below or contact Troy Hill if you have his contact information. Any help sharing this is greatly appreciated.

Letโ€™s get these two home where they belong.

CLO DENIES PROPERTY SALE IN KINGFISHER COUNTY by Rep. Mike Dobrinski
The Commissioners of the Land Office (CLO) this week voted to deny the sale of about 625 acres north of Okarche in Kingfisher County. There was much local speculation the property could have been converted into a possible hazardous waste disposal site.

I was thankful to be able to attend the executive session in which this was discussed. I support this CLO decision and believe it will best protect the long-term agricultural value of this land as well as neighboring properties along U.S. Highway 81 north of Okarche. The mission of the CLO is to manage state-owned lands to maximize long-term investments, with profits used to help our Oklahoma public schools and to protect the value of the lands they manage.

I was also privileged to speak at Governor Stitt's water conference held yesterday in Norman. This conference and research symposium is held annually to bring together experts in Oklahoma water policy and science from local, state and federal agencies and organizations, as well as industry leaders, students and researchers.

I spoke on the importance of red cedar eradication and the upcoming challenge of water requirements with data center expansion throughout the state. Sen. Chuck Hall vowed to support a โ€œrobustโ€ funding package for upgrading water infrastructure statewide, along with finally addressing the red cedar issue in Oklahoma.

As we all know in Western Oklahoma, water is a precious commodity. We are always trying to balance conservation with freedom for our farmers, ranchers and other land owners. The experts who spoke at this conference addressed many of the needs for agriculture and ranchland, individual water wells, protection from evaporation and toxins and much more.

Friday, Dec. 5, is the deadline for legislators to request new bills for the next legislative session, which convenes Feb. 2. Because this is the Second Session of the 60th Legislature, we will still be able to advance bills that did not make it all the way through the legislative process last year. I have a number of bills I will pursue this year, including upgrading water infrastructure and continuing our efforts to eradicate red cedars and other invasive species statewide.

On a final note, I would like any high school junior or senior interested in paging in my office for a week during the legislative session, to apply for the House page program. Details about the program and an online application form can be found on our House website: https://former.okhouse.gov/Pages/. This is a great way for young adults to learn the basics of state government. During the week, pages get to practice writing, debating and voting on legislation, and they are introduced to lawmakers and peers from across the state.

I hope all of you enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. I'm excited for the events and celebrations to come in the weeks ahead as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Please remember, if I can help you with anything, do not hesitate to reach out. You also can follow regular updates on my House page or call or email anytime at (405) 557-7407 or [email protected].

God Bless!

Dover Christmas Parade 2025
The Town of Dover filled Main Street with small-town Christmas cheer this morning for the annual holiday parade. If it had wheels, it rolled โ€” from festively decorated golf carts to a giant Cimarron Electric truck that even brought its own snow, because why wait on the weather?

After the parade, the celebration moved to the Dover Christian Church, where many gathered for a warm Chicken and Noodles dinner, proving once again that Dover knows how to do Christmas right, from horsepower to home cooking.

The Magic of the Season
Every year, as the days grow shorter and the air sharpens with winterโ€™s breath, something shifts. Lights go up, familiar melodies drift through stores, and even the rush of everyday life feels softer at the edges. Itโ€™s subtle at first, like the hush before snowfall, but then it comes into full focus: the magic of the holidays has settled in again.
Holiday magic isnโ€™t just about tradition or dรฉcor (though twinkling lights never hurt). Itโ€™s the feeling that the world has paused just long enough for us to breathe deeper, love a little louder, and notice the small things that usually slip past us in the blur of the year.
It lives in the ritual of pulling out the old ornament box, the one filled with memories disguised as glitter and glue. In mismatched stockings that somehow always look perfect together. In the first cup of peppermint hot chocolate that warms your hands and your spirit. In the quiet peace of a late-night tree glowing in an otherwise dark room.
Itโ€™s in the chaos, too because holiday chaos is its own kind of magic. Kids tearing through wrapping paper. Flour dusting every surface of the kitchen after a baking marathon. Grocery carts packed with ingredients for recipes that only seem to exist in December. The laughter that bubbles up when nothing goes according to plan but the moment is perfect anyway.
The magic of the season is woven through generosity - the small acts of kindness strangers exchange, the thoughtful gifts, the handwritten cards that remind us weโ€™re loved. Itโ€™s in the stories passed down at the dinner table, the candles lit in remembrance, and the traditions carried forward year after year because they make us feel rooted, connected, and whole.
Above all, the holidays remind us that wonder isnโ€™t something we outgrow. Itโ€™s something we return to. It shows up in sparkling lights, in the faces of the people we love, and in the hope that a brand-new year is waiting around the corner, full of promise.
The magic of the holidays isnโ€™t something we see, itโ€™s something we feel. And when we lean into it, even just a little, we remember what this season is really about: joy, connection, comfort, and the simple beauty of being together.
