I started filming this as a simple camera test.

Summer break just started, and my daughter has been in full pool mode… running around, being silly, jumping in, swimming underwater, and doing it all over again.

But while editing this, I realized it became less about testing focus and more about staying present.

She’s growing fast, and these summers feel like they’re moving faster too.

A small reminder to capture the moments, but also live in them.

What’s one small summer moment you’re trying to be more present for?

Before the day gets busy, I try to keep one part of my morning slow.

For me, it’s coffee.

Not just drinking it, the process, the quiet, the small rhythm before everything starts moving.

Been sitting on this footage for awhile.

Shot this during a quick Tahoe/Truckee trip, good people, good food, cold air, and real moments.

In between client work, I took a step back to finally edit this… not for a deliverable, not for a deadline, just because it mattered to me.

Sometimes the projects that stay with you the longest are the ones you didn’t get paid for.
