At Creators Publishing, we sign great writers
with the potential for success and help them actualize it. We offer personal, tailored advice and services to our writers. We have decades of experience publishing politically, historically and culturally influential writers -- including Ann Landers, Hunter S. Thompson, Andy Borowitz and Horatio Alger. And now we're extending our publishing expertise t

o writers big and small who are ready to tell their story. We’ll be there with you from cover to cover. Our industry professionals edit, design cover art, format and distribute your book through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, iTunes and Google Play. Our marketing team partners with you to launch your book, which will be featured on our virtual bookshelf next to big-name talent and other brilliant writers like you. We are forward-thinking. Digital media are the future of publishing. Technology makes it easier for authors to connect with readers and vice versa. We also believe in sustainability. We publish books in a way that limits our environmental impact. The United States book industry consumes 32 million trees each year. We are bridging the gap between self-publishing and traditional publishing. Self-publishing is an option. But it’s hard – hard to edit, format, promote and sell. Traditional publishing is another option. But it’s also hard – hard to get a book deal. We give you the tools and expertise of working with a publisher and the freedom and flexibility of doing it yourself.

Happy belated birthday (May 6), Willie Mays!

Willie, also known as “the Say Hey Kid,” played in the Negro Leagues in high school and later became an MLB player. He’s regarded as one of the all-time greats in baseball — and he’s lived up to that after his retirement from the game, too. He founded the Say Hey Foundation promoting youth baseball.

Willie Mays so affected writer Paul Kocak’s life that Paul titled his own memoir “Chasing Willie Mays” — and it, of course, includes encounters with Willie himself. (It's available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books & Google Books. Links can be found at creators.com/books/chasing-willie-mays)

Huge congratulations to D. Dina Friedman, author of short story collection “Immigrants,” which is the first runner-up in the short story category for the Eric Hoffer Book Award! “Immigrants” was also a finalist for the grand prize, an honor granted to less than 5% of entrants.

Walker Nelson, the cover artist, was also recognized as a finalist for the da Vinci Eye. This award recognizes books with superior cover design in both content and style.

There were more than 2,500 entrants to the Eric Hoffer Book Award this year, and we are so proud of and delighted for Walker and Dina’s success!

“Immigrants” is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, Apple Books and as a special order from your local bookstore. Links to all of these are available at https://creators.com/books/immigrants-friedman

In this compelling collection, we find immigrants everywhere. These stories explore the deep ambiguities in how we perceive each other; readers will grow to love Friedman’s characters, despite their flaws, as they grapple toward a deeper caring for the world around them.

Ed Connors, one of the three original owners of the Gold Gym franchise, recently talked a bit about his story. He calls himself “the least likely graduate of my high school ever to start a chain of fitness centers,” though he adds, “but that’s what I did.” With “persistence and luck in equal measure,” he and his partners created the largest gym chain in the world and changed the fitness industry for good. So on this , order your copy of Ed Connors’ book "The Three Muscleteers," available on Amazon ( https://a.co/d/bF73Q7I ) and get inspired!

R.I.P. to the legendary Vin Scully, an all-time great. He was a giant in the baseball and broadcasting worlds and his absence will be deeply felt. His connections ran wide and deep. Paul Kocak, author of "Chasing Willie Mays," said: "Vin Scully ADORED Willie Mays, and vice versa. Willie was his favorite player. They were beloved friends of some 70 years." Our thoughts are with Vin's family, friends and all who will miss him.
