Kampala has been rocked by a heated storm after Woman MP aspirant Shamim Malende publicly announced the bitter end of her marriage. In a shocking revelation, Malende accused her estranged husband not only of issuing death threats but also of confiscating her cars and taking over her social media platforms. The dramatic fallout has left the political and social scene buzzing, as Malende—a prominent lawyer and politician—vows to fight back against what she calls intimidation and abuse. With Kampala heading toward a tense election season, her ordeal has ignited fresh debate on power struggles, domestic violence, and the vulnerability of female leaders in Uganda’s political landscape.

Uganda’s music industry stands tall today because of the tireless efforts of artists who have shaped and redefined it across generations. On one side is Cindy Sanyu, a vocal powerhouse whose commanding stage presence and versatile talent have earned her respect as one of Uganda’s finest performers. Rising from the celebrated Blu*3 girl group to carving out a successful solo career, Cindy’s resilience and ability to reinvent herself musically have made her a trailblazer. Her strong vocals, electrifying live performances, and leadership in mentoring younger artists have cemented her as a force in the fraternity, a woman who has proven that consistency and passion can sustain a long-lasting career.

On the other side stands Sheebah Karungi, a younger star from a different background, whose journey is equally inspiring. From humble beginnings and years of struggle, Sheebah has built herself into a household name through sheer determination and an unshakable work ethic. Her chart-topping hits, fashionable image, and ability to connect with Uganda’s youthful fanbase showcase her as not just a singer, but also an influential cultural figure. While her style and talent differ from Cindy’s, Sheebah’s success highlights the diversity and dynamism of Ugandan music. Together, the two represent different generations, talents, and stories—but both embody the spirit of hard work, resilience, and creativity that deserve equal celebration in the nation’s music history.

Hey 👋 Williams here…

Two important but different-

At the soft hinge of morning — the BEGINNING —
light unfurls like a map not yet named.
Tender hands stitch first breaths to blank pages,
and small fierce hopes press their prints into clay.
We plant our questions in the trembling soil,
singing to seeds that do not yet remember green;
every step a punctuation, every heartbeat a promise,
the world yawns open and invites us to arrive.

Later, when roads have learned our footprints and our lies,
DESTINEY — braided from choice, chance, and scars — waits with a knowing smile.
Not a single, iron script but a river shaped by stones we throw,
it answers in echoes and doors that open from the inside.
We carry both light and ledger, the soft start and the inked path,
and find that endings are only beginnings in borrowed clothes —
so we walk on, making maps of loss and grace,
true to the small wild voice that kept whispering: become.

Hey 👋 Williams ‘ greetings-

Here is what it is..

Life walks in barefoot mornings, pockets full of sunlight,
naming the birds, tasting rain, forgetting and remembering.
It learns the language of cracked cups and mended seams,
makes a map from laughter, a shelter from ordinary bread.
It loses keys, finds rivers, bargains with time like a market vendor,
and when the wind changes, it turns its face and keeps singing.

Death waits without impatience, a chair pulled up to dusk,
polite as a shadow, listening for our last untangled note.
It gathers what the days have scattered—crumbs, names, echoes—
folds them like laundry and sets them where they won’t be lost.
Not an ending, but a harbor; not a thief, but a lantern-bearer,
it opens the dark like a door, and the room beyond smells of home.

It’s Williams again with another heads up :-

Luck is a coin tossed in the dark,
fortune a door that sometimes swings wide.

Failure is the bruise you carry home,
loss the empty chair no one can hide.

But luck? It’s just weather, not destiny.
Failure? A teacher with chalk on its hands.

Fortune throws seeds but won’t do the watering.
Loss clears space you never planned.

Here’s the truth—chance may start the story,
but grit, faith, and heart keep turning the page.

Every stumble carves muscle into spirit,
every gift dares you to rise to the stage.

So,
If luck comes, let it find us working.
If failure comes, let it find us learning.
If fortune smiles, tip your hat and keep planting.
If loss speaks, answer softly—
and carry on, carrying less.

To Y’all-
Williams with a further print:-

Is Love Really Blind—and Does It Never Ask Why?

They say love walks with shuttered eyes,
feeling its way by heartbeat’s hush,
a lantern cupped in trembling hands
that glows without the need to blush.

But I have seen it pause at doors,
finger the keys of doubt and try—
not blind, perhaps, but dazzled bright,
still brave enough to ask it why.

Why does your laugh undo my guard?
Why does your silence bend the sky?
Why does a wounded world grow soft
when two small truths refuse to lie?

If blindness means we miss the scars,
then love must learn to open wide;
to read the margin notes of grief,
to walk beside what we would hide.

For love is not an idle sleep,
nor is it sightless, meek, or shy;
it notices the storm, and still
chooses the boat—and asks it why.

So no, not blind; more like the sun
that looks and still decides to shine.
It questions, listens, changes, stays—
and in the asking, makes us kind.
