I’m at a loss for words. 35th overall out of 401 teams at the American Royal World Series of BBQ. Competing with the best pitmasters and most importantly the best people in the world. And just missed the elusive 700 score. So blessed. Never imagined I’d cook in the Masters Series, let alone a 35th at the Royal. Thank you Jay LoBello and for what you do. for the wood for the day.

Feeling sick! Submitted our application to the Praise the Lard tri-sanctioned BBQ contest at 17th Street Barbecue. Our “backyard” contest. Deadline was September 1st, but it is already sold out and we are 10th on the waiting list. Good luck to all the teams who got in! Wish I could be there!

Had a good time in Madison, IN at the KCBS BBQ contest. Got to walk the stage on brisket. That’s been our toughest category so felt good to get that call. Congrats to our BBQ friends Paul and Lynn with on the Grand Championship. Couldn’t happen to better people. Lynn promises to dance for us next time.
