Sharing a cushion with Chickpea. 🥰

QUICK + EASY VEGAN GRAVY ⬇️ Ingredients : • 2 tbsp vegan butter • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour • 1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, chopped • 2 c. vegetable stock (or 2 c. water + 2 tsp. vegetable bouillon) • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning • 1/2 tsp. nutritional yeast • 1 tbsp. soy sauce or tamari • salt + pepper to taste Instructions : 1.) To a pan on medium high heat add the vegan butter. Once melted add the rosemary and cook for about 30 seconds. Next sprinkle in the flour and whisk until a roux forms. Cook for about 2 minutes while whisking to cook off the raw flour taste. 2.) Slowly pour in the vegetable stock. Add about 1/2 c. at a time while whisking constantly to avoid any clumps. Then add the poultry seasoning, nutritional yeast, black pepper, and soy sauce. Whisk to combine. 3.) Cook the gravy for about 5 minutes or until it slightly thickens. Keep in mind that as it cools it will continue to thicken! Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. I like to add salt at the very end since the vegetable stock + soy sauce add lots of flavor. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Enjoy! 💚 Notes : • Instead of buying cartons of vegetable stock I always buy vegetable bouillon which I find to be much more flavorful. The best part about bouillon is you can make the exact amount of stock you need and the bouillon itself keeps for much longer compared to an opened carton of vegetable stock! • You may use dried rosemary in this recipe if needed, I would use 1/2 - 1 tsp. of it since it is stronger when dried.

My chickens are my pets so if bringing them inside my garage for a week helps them stay comfortable + relaxed you bet your ass I’m doing it! 😆 I’ve never brought all my girls in at once before but with them being a bit older now (almost 6 years old) I notice it can be harder for them to stay comfortable during extreme temps. Yes I’m cleaning p**p all day long but not having to stress or worry about them during the night has been so nice!! I plan on putting them back in their coop this upcoming Monday when the temps return back to “normal”. Although what is normal weather anymore these days?? 😅

We have old outdoor cushions we no longer use so I brought one in to sit on and the girls loved it!! 🥺😭 The cutest little loafs ever!!!! 💞💞 🐔

Buttercup does this every single time I fill the feeder. 😆 I switched the girls feed over to Fresh Pecks Layer Crumbles a couple weeks ago and they are loving it!! The quality is so nice and I’m almost upset that I didn’t use this feed sooner. 🤣 Link in bio to shop Grubby Farms!! 💚

So happy I got around to planting my spring garden!! I seriously love spring gardening so much more than summer! There’s truly nothing like picking fresh greens and I usually don’t have to water everything much because it rains so often where I live during the spring. Buttercup (kinda) helped until she decided it was time for a dust bath. 😆 What I’m planting this season : 2 kinds of lettuce, dino kale, parsley, dill, scallions, chives, sugar snap peas, 2 kinds of carrots, and baby bok choy.
