The Hiawatha High School Red Hawk Forensics team placed fifth at the Washington County Invitational on Friday, March 28 and seventh at the Riverside Invitational on Saturday, March 29.

For the Washington County Invitational, Senior Tori Wist with partner junior Israel Ross placed fourth in Impromptu Duet Acting (IDA)Wist also placed sixth in Prose and senior Olivia Hawks placed third in Humorous Solo Acting.

At the Riverside Invitational, Wist and partner Gavin Noll placed fourth in IDA. Wist also placed third in Prose and second in Program of Oral Interpretation; these both are qualifiers for the state championships.

Sophomore Chance Rudder placed sixth in Extemporaneous Speech at the Riverside event.

The forensics team will compete tomorrow at the Hiawatha Home Meet in their League One Act. They will also host their own home meet on Saturday, April 5 and compete at League Forensics on Monday, April 7.
