UPDATE: Some are asking what the SL zones are on this map. They are specific areas in the county for wildfire response that have been designated as "Ready" "Set" or "Go" for evacuation purposes. These are different from your town, township, or unorganized township boundaries. You should be able to zoom in on these images, but they are screenshots from Watch Duty and therefore will not show different map data. If you would like an update on how close you are to a zone or if in you're in a zone, the best place to visit is the St. Louis County Sherriff's Incident Status Page - https://sheriff-slcgis.hub.arcgis.com/pages/wildfire You can also use Watch Duty on your phone or a computer by downloading the app from your phone's app store, or visiting https://app.watchduty.org/ in your phones' internet browser or on a computer. Here, you can use the map to see things similar to how you would in Google/Apple Maps.
Here is a Wednesday midday update on the fires. Evacuation zones have changed in some areas, and the Jenkins Creek and Camp House Fires have been taken over by the Brimson Complex.
The Fredenberg Community Center and Cotton Community Center continue to be available if you are in need of temporary shelter at this time.
Looking at this map, the zones that are a darker shade near the fire symbol are "Go" zones where you need to evacuate immediately if you haven't already. The next set out (yellow) are "Set" where you should be prepared to evacuate at any time, and the outer zones are "Ready, where it's best to start preparing for a possible evacuation and know the danger in your area. You can see these areas in more detail by downloading the app Watch Duty from your app store, or by visiting St. Louis County Sheriff Department's online map at: https://sheriff-slcgis.hub.arcgis.com/pages/wildfire...
Please stay safe and alert out there! Our thoughts are with those fighting the fires at this time and those who have had to evacuate. Thank you to our emergency personnel for the work you are doing around the clock for this incident every day.
