Lancaster County Engineer Provides Updates on Road Conditions
LINCOLN - Lancaster County Engineer, Pam Dingman, has announced that paved roads have been cleared and that snow removal efforts on the County’s paved roads have ceased for today.
Lancaster County will continue to experience wind gusts up to 40 mph into the night.
“We do except blowing and drifting threw the night on cleared roads. This will require us to start over in the morning,” Dingman stated.
The department will resume efforts on paved roads starting at 6 am tomorrow morning and will begin evaluating unpaved roads to determine further action for clearing.
“I am grateful for the men and women of Lancaster County who dedicate themselves to clearing our roads,” said Dingman.
Lancaster County Engineering has only one shift of employees available to treat roads and they ask for your understanding and patience in the morning as county staff continue to clear roads as quickly and safely as possible.
Dingman advises taking extra precautions and allowing yourself additional time to get to your destination.
Please remember to stay back 100 feet from plows and motor graders that you encounter on the road.
