FYI: Aging Partners Early Closures Scheduled for September 25

Aging Partners offices, senior centers and fitness center will close at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 25, for staff training. All offices and facilities will resume regular hours Friday, September 26.

GAGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE PRESS RELEASE

DATE & TIME: 9/21/2025 at 1330 hours

LOCATION: E Elm near S 5th RD (Bike Trail)

OFFENSE: Accident

CASE #: 2025-4420



DETAILS: On the listed date and time Deputies responded to an accident involving a pickup truck and bicyclist at the bike path on E. Elm road. Seth Gehle, 24 years old from Pickrell was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on Elm Rd near the bike path when he felt something hit the side of his truck. A cyclist named Joshua Shear 51 years old from Lincoln was traveling northbound on the bike path south of Elm road. After the impact Seth stopped and realized it was a cyclist and called 911. It was determined that Joshua did not stop for the stop sign on the bike path, entered the roadway and struck the eastbound pickup in the side.


Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Rural Fire responded to the scene. Josh was transported to Bryan West Hospital for his injuries. Josh was wearing a helmet.
