Whisky Whisky 4 Delta X-Ray Main focus is DX'ing on 40 meters and up. Yaesu FTDX101MP, RK-Power RF2K-S, Palstar HF-AUTO. Heil PR40, Heil PR77D, Heil Pro 7. 115ft Rohn 25G tower. Awards.

Force12 11 element Yagi @ 115ft. 135ft Doublet @ 100ft, and a 270ft Doublet @ 100ft. WW4DX

Main HF station is a Yaesu FTDX101MP plus a Yaesu FTDX10 used as a backup. Recently added a Kenwood TS-530SP just to have a hybrid transceiver in the mix. Mobile HF rig is a Kenwood TS-480HX. Main Shortwave receiver is a classic Yaesu FRG-7. As you can tell, I prefer Yaesu gear, with a couple pieces of Ken

wood gear mixed in. I prefer Heil mics, PR40, PR77D, Pro 7 Headset, HM-12, and the Heil Goldline Elite. I have went 100% solid state on HF amplifiers. Running a RF-Kit RF2K-S and a Palstar LA-1K. Dummy load is a Palstar DL5K. Station monitor is TelePost LP-100A. The VHF/UHF gear consist of 2 ICOM ID-51A’s (D-Star), Yaesu FT3D (C4FM/Fusion), and a ICOM ID-4100A (D-Star). RF Shark OpenSpot. Antenna systems consist of a Palstar HF AUTO transmatch, a 115ft Rohn 25G tower, Force12 C19XR 11 element multi-band Yagi, plus a pair of open-line fed Doublets. A 135 Ft and a 270 Ft. Antenna switching is performed by a Array Solution RATPAK remote antenna switch. The Force12 C19XR is rotated with a Hy-Gain Tail Twister II. The second tower is a 50ft Rohn 25G with a Diamond X300A VHF/UHF vertical at 55ft. Feedline is CommScope 1/2 inch 50 ohm hardline. DXCC Mixed, DXCC Phone, DXCC 10, DXCC 15, DXCC 20, DX 100, Continents of the World, Master of Europe, Master of South America, United States Counties, 30 Years of QRZ, World Friendship Radio

Continuing to play around with Open Ham Clock. Keeps getting better with each update. Very valuable tool when looking for rare DX.

Duke Energy spent several hours here yesterday, installing a new utility pole, with all new hardware. After completion on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the most electrical interference, I'd say I'm now at a 3. Still not yet ideal for weak DX signal work, but much better. I know the direction of the issue and will document it for several days, before contacting the Duke Energy RFI engineers. Who have been wonderful in locating these issues.

I installed Windoze 11, two weeks ago to test. Been using it off and on since, and have formed an opinion.

Compared to Linux Mint, it is 100% without any doubt, trash! Bloated, buggy, restrictive, and full of worthless/aggravating advertising. The ONLY reason I would run that OS is if the program I needed only ran on that trash. The vast majority of non business computer users would be much much better off running Linux. Linux will do everything faster, better, and more secure.

Think I’m going to re-format the 1TB NVMe drive I installed it on, and begin using it for Linux storage. There is absolutely nothing I can’t do on Linux Mint that I need Windoze for...
