What gives your life real meaning?

Scottie Scheffler — the world’s number one golfer — says it best: winning golf tournaments isn’t what matters most… family is. And he’s absolutely right.

What you do for a living, how much money you make, the titles you earn — none of those things define who you are. They may come and go. One day, even the brightest spotlight fades. But your family, your people… they remain.

At the end of it all, money and fame won’t follow you. But the love you gave, the relationships you built, the legacy you leave in the hearts of others — that’s what really lasts.

Here’s a helpful tip for watering your lawn:
We’ve all heard the recommendation — lawns need about 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week. But if your weather has been anything like mine lately — extremely hot with temperatures in the mid-90s — you might expect your lawn to show signs of drought stress after a week without irrigation or rainfall. Yet surprisingly, it may not.

Why is that?

Earlier this summer, I was watering every 2–3 days, and my lawn still showed signs of heat stress. What changed? The humidity.

While high temperatures and intense sun certainly affect your lawn, elevated humidity levels actually slow the evaporation of moisture from the soil. This is critical to understand because it’s one of the main reasons many homeowners tend to overwater their lawns.

That’s why I always recommend letting your lawn tell you when it’s thirsty — instead of sticking to a strict watering schedule.

There are days I honestly forget why I even started my YouTube channel.

You pour your heart into making videos — hours of planning, filming, editing… trying to create something people will connect with. You fight the algorithm, second-guess every thumbnail, wonder if it’s even worth it. And sometimes, after all that, the views barely trickle in… or worse, someone leaves a harsh comment or hits the thumbs down.

It wears on you.

But then — out of nowhere — a simple comment from a viewer hits you right in the heart. And just like that, you remember.

I do this because I love lawn care. I love the way it makes me feel… the peace, the pride, the sense of accomplishment. And when a stranger watches my video, sees that passion, and thinks to themselves, I want to feel that too — that’s why I do this.

That’s my why.
