MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO PHARMACY FIRE, ATTEMPTED MURDER ARREST | WHKY Full News, Thurs. 1/8/26 | In the Thursday edition of the WHKY News, in top stories, A Conover man is charged with setting a fire at a local pharmacy and with committing an assault during the same incident. A man is charged with attempted murder after assaulting a person with a hammer during the course of an incident in which the victim was robbed of money and their car. A Cleveland County man is charged with a s*x offense in Morganton. Arianna Mack has a recap of this week's Hickory City Council meeting. In today's crime report, a Morganton man who is listed as a s*x offender has been charged with indecent liberties. Arianna Mack has details on a pair of arrests in Hickory, one involving a robbery charge, the other case is about a suspect allegedly having drugs at a jail.
