JENSENERS!!!
How was everyone's weekend? I hope you all had a great one. I know I sure did.
It's been a week too long. Why is that? No Jensen Effect! Well, that all changes in two days.
I will be back on the air on Tuesday at 10 A.M. as I wrap up my final semester here at High Point University! As is every week, my show will be broadcast on Instagram Live via my personal Instagram account, aidanjensen15, and through hpuradio.com, by scrolling down and clicking on the "Listen Now" button.
We will have a special guest on this week's show. HPU Basketball star Lindsey Edwards will be by the studio to talk her basketball career, specifically here at HPU, and give her plans after graduation! Lindsey will be on for roughly the last 30 minutes of my show, so you definitely want to make sure you tune in for this portion!
Peter Stratta, also known as "The Strattasphere," will be by to talk the Food City 500, which was held at Bristol Motor Speedway TODAY! In addition to the race, Peter will also go in-depth about three-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Darrell Waltrip's retirement.
After Peter comes by studio to talk racing, before jumping into the HPU sports discussion, I will recognize my Carolina Hurricanes for their first playoff appearance in 10 years. I will detail some of the greatest moments in their season, and preview their first-round matchup.
After hockey, it's HPU SPORTS TIME!!! First off, I will talk about the HPU baseball series this past weekend, specifically the series finale, in which they hung 7 runs on Winthrop in a key 7-4 victory. After baseball, I will go in detail about the Men's Golf Team's impressive performance this past weekend at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate.
After golf, I will transition into an impressive Track and Field weekend at the Phoenix Invitational on the campus of Elon University this past weekend, in which nine men's athletes placed, and the women's team collected a pair of wins.
Running into the next segment, I will talk about our huge HPU lacrosse weekend, in which we collected a pair of wins; our men's team over Air Force, and our women's team over Presbyterian on Senior Day. After lacrosse, I will recognize HPU Men's Basketball alum Arizona Reid for being inducted into the Big South Hall of Fame.
Continuing the award recognition, I will congratulate our starting catcher, Daniel Millwee, for being named to the Buster Posey Award Watch List. After this congratulations, I will briefly run over the midweek baseball and women's lacrosse games.
To finish off my HPU sports segment, I will do a brief rundown of HPU soccer alum in the USL, then recognize Meredith Chapman of Women's Lacrosse, and Tim Troutner Jr. of Men's Lacrosse, for winning Big South and SOCON Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Tune into my show this week! It's going to be the best one yet!
