There’s so many reasons I appreciate New York Comic Con, but the city’s beautiful diversity is at the top of that list. Thank you, Big Apple, for a wave of love that has filled my heart to the brim. This year’s edition clocked in at #4 all time for Hero Tomorrow Comics, which is a huge win in this economy. It also had to be a record for repeat business. Hanging out with Bloom artist Butch Mapa, who made the trek from the Philippines, was a great honor.

Shoutouts to Fred Dillon and Elliott Mondry for helping out at the booth. Great seeing Jim Salicrup, Danny Fingeroth, Cynthia Von Buhler (Her “Minky Woodcock: The Girl Called Cthulhu” is wickedly fantabulous, as was the book’s release party on a ship!) JayDee Rosario, Charles Ardai, CW Thayer, Ron Milts, Dean Haspiel, Bryan Reesman, Andrew Pepoy, Dan Goldman, Trevaughn Roach-carter, Eric McClanahan, and DJ Ben Ha Teen (can’t wait to dive into Purple Haze!)
