I'm sharing the short film I produced about July 4th last year in my hometown of Highland Park, Illinois. It's a film about a mass shooting, but not directly about the shooting itself. It's about gun safety advocacy, but not truly centered around the issue. Instead, the film showcases the spontaneous memorial that sprung up in the center of town, helping bring the grieving community together in the wake of the tragedy.
