Homecoming night at Highlander Stadium was one to remember! The Scots opened district play with a 45-14 win over Naaman Forest, with plenty of touchdowns and plenty to celebrate.

Our recap features the Highlander Band, cheer, Belles, Spirited Scots, students, football moms and the homecoming court, including our newly crowned Homecoming Queen, Ellington Heis.

A great night for the Scots and the entire Highland Park community. Let’s go, Scots!

A little Homecoming magic at Highlander Stadium!

Meet your 2026 Highland Park Homecoming Queen nominees! I had so much fun spending time with these lovely young ladies and their families on the sidelines as they introduced themselves and shared a little about the people cheering them on.

Please join me in congratulating all six of these outstanding Scots on this special honor!

Caroline Chantilis, Remi Nowak, Natalie Denton, Amelie Hart, Ellington Heis and Greer Crow.

And a very special congratulations to Ellington Heis, our 2026 Highland Park Homecoming Queen!

How have I lived in Dallas this long and never been inside the Hall of State?

Last night was my first visit, and I was completely blown away. It is truly one of the most beautiful buildings in Dallas.

I was there for the Dallas Historical Society’s State Fair Preview Party, getting a sneak peek before the State Fair of Texas opens. This year, the Hall of State is the new home of Mundo Latino: Día de los Mu***os, with incredible art installations, alebrijes and beautiful displays celebrating the traditions of Día de los Mu***os.

The exhibit is spectacular, but honestly, I couldn’t stop looking at the building itself. If you’re like me and have somehow gone to the State Fair year after year without stepping inside the Hall of State, this is the year to change that.

Mundo Latino: Día de los Mu***os runs throughout the State Fair, September 25 through October 18, and is included with Fair admission.

Thank you to the Dallas Historical Society for giving me the perfect excuse to finally discover this Dallas treasure.

I wore these one-of-a-kind Paula Crevoshay pieces from Skibell Fine Jewelry to the KidneyTexas Runway Report Luncheon & Fashion Show, “Handbags & Heels,” and I had to give them their own moment here.

The Moon Goddess Ring, from Paula’s Gallery Collection, features a 4.8-carat black pearl, .80 carats total weight of tourmaline and 1.30 carats total weight of diamonds. The Waterfall Earrings feature 5.65 carats of moonstone and 1.15 carats of zircon. Both are set in 18K yellow gold.
