🌸 SPRING EVENTS & KEY DATES
Get your calendars ready—there’s a lot coming up:
-Restaurant Crawl: Tuesday, March 31, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
-Senior Social: Tuesday, March 31.
-Town Offices Closed: Friday, April 3, for Easter.
-Leaf/Branch Pickup: Crews begin spring collection in April.
-Arbor Day: Officially recognized as Friday, April 24.
-Park Clean-up Day: Saturday, April 25, from 9:00AM – 11:30 AM.
-Spring Fling Craft Fair: Saturday, May 2.
-Spring Clean-up: Tuesday, May 19.
🚧 TOWN PROJECTS & BUSINESS
-Tree & Concrete Services: The Council considered extending contracts with Dave’s Tree Service and Big Concrete and Excavating through the end of 2026 to keep our infrastructure moving.
-Capital Projects: Discussion continued on Ordinance No. 1846 regarding bonds to fund upcoming town improvements.
-New Hire: A recommendation was made to hire Steve Winget as a full-time Utility Worker/Driver for the Public Works Department.
-Business Check-ins: The Council reviewed property tax abatements for People’s Bank SB, Safety Training Services, and Webb Hyundai to ensure they remain in compliance with their community benefits.
