Today on June 17, 2026, there is a dangerous moderate risk for significant severe weather that will impact portions of central Illinois into northern Indiana. The risk will include a pretty high tornado risk, a moderate wind and hail risk as well. The timing for these storms will occur in the afternoon into evening hours as the storms will rush east. Be weather aware as this severe weather outbreak could possibly turn into a line of storms. Today on June 16th, 2026, there is a marginal chance for severe weather that includes a conditional tornado risk, a wind and hail risk for portions of north eastern Illinois, central and northern Indiana and southern Michigan. The timing for these storms will be in the late morning to early afternoon into evening. Stay tuned as we will most likely cover these storms if they pass through northwest Indiana.
