Since February 18, 2018 all my family has wanted is the truth.

Exactly what could be serious issue Sheriff Bob Kelly?

What will it take for someone to be honest about what actually happened that night? You see while y’all have been covering your LIES - I have been busy seeking the TRUTH.

When will my sister have Justice? How does anyone involved sleep at night? We are still hurting! We deserve to know the truth. Speak up. I’m still here waiting.

2,555 days since your life was taken. 2,555 days that I have fought for the truth. Mistake after mistake clearly documented on this page. When will Highland County Sheriff’s office man up and be honest? When will those who know what happened come forward? When will the mistakes that were made make change? Every citizen in Highland County should want to make sure this isn’t one of your family members next.

To the ones who took an oath - who was your oath to? Protect and serve who exactly?

I’m still here - still waiting. I’m not going anywhere because Amber’s life was important. We need answers and the truth.

December 30th we should be celebrating your birthday. This year looks so much different. You received your birthday present in Heaven early this year.

December 26th our dad passed away. Tomorrow has been a hard day since 2018 but now I have to bury my Dad. I’ve always tried to make Amber’s birthday easier every year for my parents. Tomorrow will be so hard for all of us especially my mom. They just celebrated their anniversary a few weeks ago. 45 years together.

Life seems so unfair sometimes. We are left to grieve and try to make it the best we can. I know they are both together and in a better place but it sure sucks for us down here. 💔

My beautiful sister who was TAKEN from our family. Bob - I hope you enjoy your thanksgiving holiday with your family.... we will FOREVER be missing her. The very least you could do is answer our questions. I'm still not exactly sure why you choose to be silent on this. The very same issues that the Sheriff's dept had in 2018 are STILL affecting the citizens you SERVE. When you are surrounded by your family celebrating the holidays remember this face.
WE ARE STILL HURTING AND STILL WAITING FOR ANSWERS.

Just a reminder, Bob I’m still waiting on an explanation. You were on scene at 10:10 per your report but the first photo taken by your department issued camera that the timestamp was confirmed as correct wasn’t until 11:15.

WHAT DID YOU DO FOR AN HOUR?!

I hope you are really proud of how transparent you’ve been to my grieving family. What keeps you from telling the truth? What are you doing for your dept so that this never happens again to another family? Thinking about retirement maybe?

It’s right here documented in black and white by your own report! So which is it? Were you on scene for an hour by yourself or did you not show up until someone else called the fire in?

Oh, that brings me to another question why did you say you thought it was a domestic violence situation when there was another call made about a structure fire. Not to mention my sister said it on the phone! You remember at Amber’s funeral when you said “I just thought to myself what did she do now.” My question for you is what did you do or not do?

I’m ready for the conversation when you are. Until then I’ll just keep reminding you about all the lies.

Confidential informants, illegal searches, profiling, etc. I love that someone was brave enough to challenge “the system” and won!

I wonder if Bob Kelly learned his lesson or maybe this is still continuing? This article is a must read.

This doesn’t mean anything (at least not to anyone else that I’ve brought this up to) but it sure means a lot to me. The date Verizon cut off Amber’s phone for nonpayment. If you’ve read the posts you know this was AFTER her iMessages were turned off. Of course, that doesn’t matter anyway considering someone opened my snap to her on the one year anniversary of her death but again WHO CARES? Not a single person who was apart of her “investigation”. They didn’t find her cell phone, they didn’t want the gun that was found, they didn’t question the person who allegedly had texts that Amber was being followed the night she died, they didn’t want to hear anything that would lead to any other possibilities.

What they didn’t know is Amber’s little sister would seek answers. Come hell or high water the truth will come out. I will continue my fight for answers because that is exactly what my family deserves. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for what you’ve put my family through.

Candidate for sheriff pleads no contest
Robert W. "Bob" Kelly, candidate for Highland County sheriff in November's election, pled no contest to two counts of assault and battery in an Oklahoma incident this year.

I love reading old newspaper articles. A highlight for me in this article was:
"I think this needs to be heard," she said. 'They planned it. They hurt me and my sister so bad we had to go to the hospital. Bob stepped up and kicked her. They knocked me on my knees; I have scars there now. I have doctors' reports and photos I could show you." She said the incident was also witnessed by her mother, aunt, and niece, who were in the Martins' home at the time, and a grandchild who was in the car with them. 'They could have come with the cops," she noted. "Instead they came and knocked us in the dirt ... they didn't want the police out here ... They wanted to hurt us.

Definitely not a good choice to make as a law enforcement officer. Could you image what would happen to a citizen of the community if this happened in Highland County now? Sheriff Bob, I feel for sure would be arresting the person who did something similar, but it's okay in certain circumstances, I guess, if you are a law enforcement officer? Kinda like taking the law into your own hands? hmmm.
