Two big closings coming up this week… and they couldn’t be more different. ❤️🏡

One is a family saying goodbye to their home place.

The place they were raised.
The place that held countless family meals, holidays, laughter, memories and years of life.

Selling a home like that is about so much more than a contract and a closing date. There’s a whole lot of emotion tied up in handing those keys to someone else.

And the other closing? A young veteran buying his very first home. 🇺🇸

When I asked him what he was looking for, his reason stuck with me. He wanted a home where he could help take care of his mama and his sisters.

That’ll get you. ❤️

One family is closing a chapter filled with generations of memories, while another young man is opening the door to a brand-new chapter with his family in mind.

THIS is real estate.

It’s not just houses, signs, contracts and closings.

It’s people.
It’s family.
It’s home.

And getting to have a small part in both of these stories is something I don’t take lightly. ❤️

Now listen, I am an EXTROVERT. 😂

I like people. I like talking. I can walk into a room full of strangers and probably leave knowing half of them, where they’re from, who their mama is and what they do for a living. 🤣

But I have a question...

Why are we always trying to make introverts more like us??

“Come mingle!”
“Speak up!”
“Get out more!”
“Step outside your comfort zone!”
“Come out of your shell!”

Meanwhile, I have NEVER heard anybody pull one of us extroverts aside and say...

“Honey, I really think it would be good for your personal growth if you'd hush for about 30 minutes.” 🤣🤣🤣

And let's be fair...

Some of us probably NEED to hear it. 😂🙋‍♀️

Maybe introverts don't need fixing.

Maybe they actually LIKE being quiet.
Maybe they don't want to work the room.
Maybe they don't need to tell 47 strangers their life story before supper.

And maybe us extroverts could learn a thing or two from them.

Like listening.
Observing.
Thinking BEFORE we speak.

Whew. 😬😂

I'm all for getting outside our comfort zones. That's where a lot of growth happens.

But if we're going to keep pushing the introverts to talk more...

It's only fair somebody starts challenging us extroverts to hush every now and then. 🤣

Not to cause trouble.
Not to stir the pot.

But because sometimes nothing changes when everybody stays quiet.

You don’t have to flip the whole boat… but every now and then, it’s okay to rock it a little. 😉🌊

I see everybody jumping on this 80s bandwagon… and I’m just gonna sit this one out. 😂

I lived through the 80s. I do NOT need to relive them.

The music? Absolutely. 🎶
The big hair, blue eyeshadow, shoulder pads and questionable fashion choices? We can leave all that right where we found it. 🤣

Some things are vintage for a reason, y’all. 😂
