WOLFS HEAD PORTLAND is one of my favorite burgers in Portland, so when my dad came to visit I knew we had to go there for dinner after a trip to OMSI! Not only is the food fantastic (my dad couldn’t stop talking about the double deluxe for the rest of his time in Portland) but it’s also super kid friendly.

They offer kids burgers and free stickers, as well as an arcade game set to free play. My 3-year-old loved watching the food get made in the open kitchen, and since it’s close to the train tracks under the Hawthorne Bridge you can watch trains go by out the window.

In addition to burgers, we ordered curly fries, cheese curds and malts, and were super impressed with everything.

Wolfs Head is serving up Midwest inspired smash burgers all over the Portland area, including a brick and mortar near PSU and several food carts, so you’re bound to find a location near you!

🍳 Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch 🍳

[hosted] Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch just opened its first Oregon location, setting up shop in an old Sheri’s building in Gresham. I took my kids out to try their “Southern cookin’ with a California twist” and my daughter exclaimed during the meal, “THIS IS THE BEST BREAKFAST EVER!!” The reason? Beignets served with vanilla cream as well as peach, huckleberry and strawberry compotes for dipping.

I loved how reasonably priced and customizable the kids menu is. $7.99 gets you drink plus three food items (my daughter chose apple juice, French toast, bacon and a fried egg. My son got apple juice, French toast, a sausage patty and fruit). I ordered a breakfast platter with fried eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and a huckleberry muffin.

We had a great breakfast but we weren’t the only ones who had the idea to come out on a Thursday morning. We got there at 10am and it was a 30 minute wait. When we left, it was still really busy, so be prepared to wait!

My family absolutely LOVES Claw City and whenever a new location opens we visit ASAP! The Oregon-based arcade opened its newest location, Claw City Woodburn, over the weekend and it might be our favorite one yet.

Woodburn boasts one of Claw City’s largest game rooms, and my kids couldn’t believe how many games (and prizes) there were. They’re super into squishies right now and headed straight for machines with squishy butter and squishy dumplings (and were each able to win one!). They also loved the Japanese Arcade room and had a lot of fun playing DanceRush Stardom.

No matter which Claw City location you go to, the staff is always SUPER kind, helpful and encouraging. They’ll reposition prizes in the machine to make them easier to win, give you free plays, and even switch out a prize for something else in the machine if you don’t win what you were hoping for.

When you’re done playing, you can either keep what you won or trade up plush for other treasures at the prize counter.

Claw City is our favorite arcade and we love to see them continuing to expand!
