Underground folk musician and legendary iconoclast Michael Hurley, whose prolific path wound though seven decades of performing and recording and whose music, despite being unknown to the majority, drew a loyal following that includes some of the nation's most respected songwriters, died recently at his home in Portland OR.
This evening from 7-10, Triangle Slim will spin a Hurley tribute complete with work from his many recordings official and otherwise, covers by bands both familiar and obscure, and a special live session and interview Slim conducted in the 1980s that only been heard once before. Join us tonight from 7-10 for three hours of songs by and stories about one of music's most quirky characters.
