UPDATE: Temporary pumps have been installed to bypass the flooded River Pump Station so that raw sewage that is typically pumped by that station can be treated by the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The Eno River flooded the Wastewater Treatment Plant and several sewer pump stations. Much of the wastewater that reaches the plant is flowing untreated into the river due to pump station flooding and failure. Avoid showering or washing clothes or dishes today to help reduce the flow of untreated wastewater.
