🎉 HAPPY 10 YEARS WITH THE WAVE@92FM, NIKKI! 🎉

10 years in sales.9 years on-air.2 years running the whole kitten-kaboodle. 🐱😂

And somehow… here we are. 10 YEARS. ❤️

Nikki's honey boo boo, Star, pulled off the sweetest surprise 10-year anniversary party, bringing together friends who have been along for this crazy, amazing journey — and let me tell you… it has DEFINITELY been a journey. 😂

There have been big wins, hard days, plot twists, late nights, lots of laughs, plenty of learning, and so many incredible people who have become part of the story along the way.

🌊 We've got a couple of new faces to officially welcome!

Please help us give a big Wave welcome to our newest West Side wāhine, mother-and-daughter sales duo, Tifani and Mahealani! 💙

Many of you already know these two. They've been part of The Wave ʻohana for a couple years, lending their voices to client commercials and representing their family-owned business, HLSI. If you've ever wanted to learn to surf in Kona, they're the OGs—and still the best in the business! 🏄‍♀️

Mahealani is also stepping into a second role as our Creative Media Intern. Fresh off earning her degree in Creative Media, she's ready to dive into production, copywriting, promotions ... and maybe even spend some time behind the microphone.

Poor girl... she has absolutely no idea what she's getting herself into. 😄

We recently had a listener from Japan visit our beautiful island and take the time to shoot us an email and tell us all about it. It's thoughtful moments like these, that really make our days.💜

Hi Nikki,

My name is Asako, and I'm a listener from Japan. I've been listening to The Wave while I work for almost 10 years.

Recently, my family and I had the chance to visit the Big Island, and I finally got to see The Wave's new sign in Hilo!

It was so exciting to think that this is where your programs are broadcast from.

We also stopped by places I know from your commercials, like Keauhou Shopping Center, Kings' Shops, and Queens' Marketplace.

It was so much fun recognizing those places in person!
(I even had a malasada at Pono Pastry and bought a beautiful dress at Mary Jane's!)

Now that I'm back in Japan, I still listen to The Wave online while I work.

This time, whenever I hear those place names, I can smile and think, "I've been there!" It makes listening even more enjoyable than before.

Thank you, Nikki, and thank you to everyone at The Wave, for always bringing such great music and good company.

I hope you all stay happy and healthy, and I wish The Wave many more wonderful years.
