Hey did you know Hobart offers an unparalleled setting for celebrating the 4th of July? Hobart, offers a dynamic blend of community spirit and festive activities.

The day will begin with a lively parade at 10:00 AM. The Parsde will be showcasing local talent and fostering a sense of unity among residents and visitors alike. The starting point will start at the Hobart Middle School then East on 8th St then North on Main St then turning West on 3rd st then North on Wisconsin St ending at Cleveland St. Just remember theirs a quiet zone between 2nd and Cleveland St.

As the sun sets, the excitement continues with "The Aftermath" concert at 6:00 PM, providing an opportunity for attendees to enjoy live music in a vibrant atmosphere.

The day will culminate with a breathtaking fireworks display at 9:15 PM, illuminating the night sky and symbolizing the nation’s 250 years of independence.

For those eager to participate in the parade, registration is currently open, encouraging community involvement in this cherished summer event.

It is also essential, however, to adhere to local guidelines regarding fireworks. To ensure a harmonious celebration, please refrain from saving viewing spots until after 10 PM on July 2, as violations may lead to removal of items by the city park department.

By fostering respect and consideration among all attendees, Hobart can ensure an unforgettable experience for everyone, reinforcing the values of community and togetherness that the 4th of July embodies.

On behalf of American Legion Post 54, we express our profound gratitude to Judge Advocate Officer William Perryman for his unwavering commitment to our veterans.

As the chief legal and parliamentary advisor to the Post Commander and executive committee, Officer Perryman diligently upholds the integrity of our organization by ensuring compliance with governing documents and maintaining adherence to Legion policies.

Recently, he endeavored to honor local city officials Mayor Josh Huddleston, Councilman Michael Rodriguez, Chief of Staff Kelly Clemens, Assistant Police Chief Tim Pochron, Amy Schallenkamp, Mariah Center and the Hobart Police Department with certificates of appreciation for their steadfast support in collecting items for homeless veterans and honoring our fallen comrades during Memorial weekend.

Although he faced challenges in presenting these certificates due to an unexpected disruption at the council meeting, his resolve to recognize their contributions remained steadfast.

A photograph capturing this moment of recognition serves as a testament to his dedication.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Officer Perryman for his invaluable efforts in honoring those who have served, embodying the spirit of service that lies at the heart of our mission.
