Ross summer Music Theatre for 48 years has been offering students (and their families) from across NWI a chance to be part of a professional quality Broadway musical production every summer. An audience favorite, Melinda finished covering this Dragon 15 minutes before the doors open after working on it till 3:00 AM and then back at 9:00 AM till 6:45 PM. Went home showered and back to direct the orchestra by 7:15 PM. The puppeteers had the completed Dragon for the first time opening night.

Sunday we closed an amazing run of Shrek the musical. We had such a mixture of age and experience but it all came together so well due to our younger more inexperienced performers stepping up their game because of the leadership of our more experienced performers . It was a really exciting production with one of the absolute best orchestras you would want to hear. We had a fantastic Stage crew and no one mixes live musical better than our sound man. I want to thank everyone by name but afraid I’ll forget someone, as we had so many people help bring this show to life. From the dragon to the beautiful tower scene. I can’t forget Melinda’sSister Melissa her family , and all tge moms that made tgat concession stand part of this amazing production.

Monday they said goodbye to their set as they broke everything down, but got to see all in place one more time as they watched their closing night performance on a giant screen. It was almost like seeing it live. I’ve watched that show every night for about 5 weeks and the video was still amazing to watch and much more fun knowing I didn’t have to worry about something going wrong.
