On this date in 2018, one day after signing on, ABE 93.7 held a ribbon cutting with the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce. A huge crowd turned out that day!

Mary Helen Aubrey, age 85, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2025, at her residence.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Horace John “Buddy” Aubrey; a son, Russell Edward Aubrey; a grandson, Russell Anthony “Tony” Aubrey; a sister, Francis Duncan; a brother, J.C. Duncan and her parents, Henry and Hazel Duncan.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary (Joe) Arnold of Brooks, Patty Webb of Hodgenville, Stella (Danny) Atwell of Buffalo; two sons, James (Carol) Aubrey of Munfordville, John Aubrey of Buffalo; two sisters, Ella Mae Bross and Becky Duncan; a brother, David Duncan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville at 1 p.m.

Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

One person is dead after a car crashed into the Nelson County Courthouse. Bardstown Police say a 2006 Chevy Malibu collided with the east side of the building shortly after midnight this morning. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
