#545 - The weapons-related incident on Montreal Road has concluded and the scene has been secured.

On April 29, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service, including the Cornwall Emergency Response Team, responded to a weapons-related incident in the 1100-block of Montreal Road.

Responding officers located an individual suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The individual was evacuated and transported to hospital.

A second individual was subsequently located deceased inside a residence with what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The CPS Criminal Investigation Division has taken carriage of the investigation. No further details will be released at this time.
